摘要： PURPOSE:To give intercrystalline corrosion resistance to the spot weld zone by stopping current supply while holding the pressing after supply of main welding current and supplying postheating current of the specific per cent of the main current after the laps of a short time. CONSTITUTION:In the case of spot welding of ferrite stainless steel, the current supply is stopped while the pressing is held after supply of main welding current, and further the postheating current of 70% or more of the main current is supplied after lapse of a fixed short time. This method is large in postheating current as compared to conventional methods and its weld time is extremely short. This is because the mechanism itself of intercrystalline corrosion resistance impartion differs from the one in conventional methods and this method concerns with the transformation involving the two phase structure of ferrite + martensite containing a slight amount of carbide which is entirely different from the conventional ferrite containing carbide.

The various elements in the iron are combined in an optimum way to satisfy the equation, by which the amt. of austenite in the weld zone is limited to about 40W80% and the weld metal with which the integranular corrosion occurring in a nitric acid is not observed is obtd.

A main body 8 made of a stainless steel plate, whose diameter is smaller than that of the cylinder 1, and a flange part 9, whose diameter is a little larger than that of the cylinder 1 of a base part of the main body 8, are formed by the deep drawing processing, while a hole 11 is provided on the flat surface 10 of the top part of the main body 8, the cylinder 1 and the main body are made into an external cylinder and an internal cylinder respectively, the tip of a caved-in part 4 of the cylinder 1 is inserted into the hole 11 of the main body 8, and the edge of the tip of the caved-in part 4 and the edge of the bottom of the cylinder 1 are welded 12 and 13 with the edge of the hole 11 and the flange part 9 respectively.

CONSTITUTION:Two metal plates 1 formed with openings 2 are superposed on each other and they are joined together by applying seam welding 3 at their peripheral portion. Further, they are welded together by applying spot welding or roll spot welding 6 and seam welding 7 alternately at the portions thereof which are not used as fluid passages. Then, bulging process is carried out by forcing a fluid from the openings 2 under pressure. In the above arrangement, spot welding 6 can be made in two rows between each two adjacent lines of seam welding 7.

摘要： PURPOSE:To give intercrystalline corrosion resistance to weld zone by performing long current supply of the specific times the necessary weld time in creating the molten part of a sufficient size at the time of spot welding. CONSTITUTION:In the cace of spot welding of ferrite stainless steel, the long current supply of more than twice the necssary weld time in creating the weld zone of a sufficient size is accomplished. With the weld time of twise or less, the texture change of the weld zone does not take place sufficiently and intercrystalline corrosion resistance is not sufficient and therefore the lower limit is made twice. Hence, the intercrystalline corrosion of the spot weld zone may be prevented without large changes such as sophistication of materials and employment of in-furnace heating.
