    • PURPOSE:To continuously seam-weld a three-ply part and a two-ply part of metallic sheets by bending the ends of the metallic sheets to abut these on each other and subjecting the three-ply part wherein a tabular suspender is sandwiched to seam welding by using electrode rolls having thick walls and the peripheral contact surfaces with a rounded shape. CONSTITUTION:Stainless steel face materials 13 and 14, and the suspender 11 are pressed between the electrode rolls 8 and electrified. The electrode rolls 8 have 15-30 times thickness as much as stainless steel face material thickness and are made of a discoid Cu alloy with good heat conduction and the peripheral surfaces thereof have the 50-100 times radiuses R as much as stainless steel face material thickness and are rounded and provided with water-cooled jackets 8a. When the wall thickness of the electrode rolls 8 is small, high current is not allowed to flow through the electrode rolls and when the wall thickness is large, heat loss thereof increases. When the radiuses R of the peripheral surfaces are small, dents are too deepened and when the radiuses are large, bearings run short. The high current required for the three-ply part is charged and the three-ply part and the two-ply part are seam-welded continuously.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the joining strength and workability of a product by using ferrite or martensite stainless steel as a base material or an intermediate material, and setting a cumulative draft of hot rolling to >=70% by a roll method for cladding titanium or its alloy. CONSTITUTION:Plural titanium base materials which have used a pure titanium plate as clad materials 1, 1, and have superposed a plate of ferrite or martensite stainless steel as a base material 2 are prepared, and they are welded and assembled in the shape of a pack by using a packing material 3 consisting of the pure titanium plate. In this regard, the interface of the base material 2 and the clad material 1 are polished with a buff in advance, respectively, and thereafter, defatted and cleaned. Thereafter, vacuum forming and sealing are executed from a nozzle 4 attached to one part of the packing material 3. Subsequently, there clad materials are heated at a prescribed temperature for a prescribed time, so that the cumulative draft becomes >=70%.

Next, the laminated plates 11 are inserted in a vacuum furnace or a furnace filled with inactive gas atmosphere so as to keep them at the predetermined temperature and at the same time to apply the predetermined pressure on the laminated plates 11 and the tubular bodies 14 in order to hold the above-mentioned state for a certain period of time. Consequently, constituent atoms locating in the pressure welding portions between the respective plates 11 and those between the plate 11' and the tubular bodies 14 are diffused each other in order to strongly join the boundary surfaces.
