摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet recording head for enabling stabilized high speed continuous printing, a method of manufacture and a liquid jet recorder. SOLUTION: In the liquid jet recording head 10, liquid flowing into a common liquid chamber 22 through a liquid inlet 32 flows along the wall face 12B of a housing 12 and the heating element forming face 18A of a heating element substrate 18 and enters an individual channel 20, as it is. A liquid drop 36 is ejected through heating of a heating element 16. Since the liquid flows linearly from the liquid inlet 32 to the individual channel 20, the liquid flow becomes smooth and bubbles are discharged from a nozzle 28 to the outside and the heating element substrate 18 is cooled by the fluid flowing along it. Stabilized printing is thereby ensured even if the liquid drops 36 are ejected continuously (print) at high speed.

In this case, the head pressure PH of the ink tending to drop by the gravity is applied in the same direction as the negative pressure PR of a capillary tube member 3 on the inner surface of the member 6. Thus, the pressure ▵P becomes ▵P=PR+PH. The bubble point pressure PG of the member 6 is set to larger than the maximum value PR + PH of the pressure ▵P, and hence the air is not invaded into the tank 1 via the member 6.

CONSTITUTION:An ink chamber 1 is connected to a recording head 3 through a connecting path 2. An ink holding member 6 having a capillary force is connected to the ink chamber 1 through an introducing wick 7. When ink is held in the ink holding member 6, the introducing wick 7 serves as an ink flow path between the ink holding member 6 and the ink chamber 1, and a negative pressure is kept constant by the capillary force of the ink holding member 6. In the absence of ink in the ink holding member 6, an ink meniscus is formed on the introducing wick 7, and the increase of a negative pressure is offset by the production of bubbles for keeping a negative pressure in the ink chamber 1 constant. If air in the ink chamber 1 expands, ink is moved from the ink chamber 1 to the ink holding member 6 through the introducing wick 7, thereby being prevented from leaking.

CONSTITUTION:In an ink tank 2, a main ink chamber 4 and a sub ink chamber 6 wherein an absorption member 9 is disposed are adjacent with each other and an air communication hole 8 is provided in an upper section of the sub ink chamber 6. The absorption member 9 keeps the ink pressure at a constant level by its capillary force. First, an ink in the sub ink chamber 6 is used in accordance with the ink consumption. In the case where a prescribed amount of ink has been used, an air passes through the inside of the absorption member 9 and becomes bubbles when passing through a meniscus forming section 10 to move into the main ink chamber 4. An ink pressure is maintained at a constant level by a surface tension in the meniscus forming section 10. Even when an amount of the residual ink is reduced, the meniscus forming section 10 is in a wettable condition because of an ink conduction section 11 so that the ink pressure is constantly maintained.

SOLUTION: Since an individual channel 32 provided with an ink ejection opening 30 and a rectangular ink supply chamber 44 are interconnected directly, a bubble large enough to cause defective print does not float in the ink supply chamber 44 to choke the individual channel 32. Warmed ink in the ink supply chamber 44 moves into an upper ink tank chamber 42 by convection to grow a previously encapsulated air mass 48 thus preventing growth of a bubble in the ink supply chamber 44. Since a large cross-sectional area is ensured for the ink supply chamber 44, oscillation of meniscus at the ink ejection opening 30 is prevented from being amplified by pressure oscillation due to ink ejection thus preventing defective ejection. A highly reliable print can thereby be ensured through a simple arrangement.

Therefore, produced bubbles immediately move upwards, and there is no possibility that the surface of the meniscus forming part 10 may be covered with bubbles. In addition, the surface is always wet in contact with the ink in the ink chamber 5 for preventing the break of a meniscus.
