摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a rapidly processable stable sensitive material having high sensitivity by adsorbing an org. compd. on the surfaces of specified host particles, sensitizing the particles with sulfur and gold in coexistence with bromide during or after halogen conversion and incorporating the resulting silver chlorobromide into an emulsion layer. CONSTITUTION:Silver halide particles having >=50mol.% chloride content are used as host particles. The silver halide particles are normal crystal particles having no twin face. An org. compd. is adsorbed on the surfaces of the host particles and the particles are sensitized with sulfur and gold in coexistence with bromide during or after halogen conversion. The resulting silver chlorobromide particles are incorporated into a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer so that the layer contains the particles by >=50%, preferably >=70%, especially preferably >=90% of the total number of silver halide particles contained in the layer. Thus, a stable color sensitive material having high sensitivity and high efficiency of utilization of silver halide is obtd.
