摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and accelerate switching by allowing a lin card on an output side to mix cells incoming from working connection and protection connection in a receiving-side asynchronous transferring mode ATM device of 1:1 redundancy constitution, so as to execute connection switch by switching only the transmission side. SOLUTION: When setting connection at the time of communicating from an ATM communication equipment 1-1 in the direction of 1-2, a receiving-side ATM communication device 1-2 sets a header conversion table 11 to send a cell by adding the same transmission headers to both of a line card 2 housing working connection and a line card 3 housing protection connection. Thereby cells incoming from both systems are mixed at a line card 1. Consequently, when the receiving side switches an active system from working to protection, the receiving system instantly transfers the cell from the line card 3 of protection to the line card 1.

摘要： PURPOSE: To reduce an influence upon the other traffics and to quickly switch plural virtual path(VP) by generating a switching control OAM cell with a long period in the case of the absence of a switching request and generating it with a short period in the case of the presence of the switching request. CONSTITUTION: The switching control OAM cell is generated with a long period T1 at the time of the absence of the switching request in a node (normally), and a period T2 of switching request generation is made shorter than this period T1. Thus, the switching control OAM cell is used to ensure the coincidence between current paths of two transmission and reception leads even if another information cell or the like doesn't exist. Further, current system/ standby system VP switching control is quickly performed at the time of the presence of the switching request. The period of OAM cell generation is varied in this manner to reduce the influence upon traffics.

摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the ineffective part of a data signal by setting the value of a pointer for a transmitted frame within one frame after the value of the pointer for a received frame is changed. CONSTITUTION:A frame memory 1, write control circuit 2, read control circuit 3, pointer detection circuit 4, pointer buffer 5, selector 6, selector control circuit 7, reception side frame counter 8, transmission side frame counter 9, down counter 30, buffer 31 for address storage and comparator 32 are provided. Even when the value of the pointer in the received frame is changed, phase difference with the new pointer is detected before the pointer of the transmitted frame is generated. Accordingly, the new pointer value is generated in one frame, namely, after the phase difference between the received frame and transmitted frame. Thus, the ineffective part of communication data can be decreased.

Then the code information block in the block 3 is encoded into an error-correcting code so that the code may have an encoding gain of >=6 dB for the bit error rate of 10-12 and its check bit is arranged in the free area as a super FEC signal.

In the case of the path above, since the path belongs to the logic ring #1 between the nodes B and E, a path after fault recovery is A-B-A-D-E-F-I. An active VC is used between the nodes A and B and among the nodes E-F-I and a standby VC is used among the nodes B-A-D-E.

摘要： PURPOSE:To realize a low abort rate by forming the switch with a single kind of switch modules only and sending a read inhibit signal to a switch module of one preceding stage when a cell abort due to buffer overflow is going to take place in any of the switch modules. CONSTITUTION:Switch modules are arranged to each stage so that number of the switch modules of each stage of a line concentration switch is selected twice the number of switch modules belong to one succeeding stage with respect to the stage to which the switch module belongs and an output of the switch module of each stage is connected to the input of the switch module of a stage succeeding to the stage to which the switch module belongs. When cell abort is going to take place in a buffer memory of any switch module, a read inhibit signal is sent to the switch module of the pre-stage to stop the output of the cell to the switch module of the post stage. When there is no possibility of occurrence of cell abort, the transmission of the read inhibit signal is stopped and the cell transmission is restarted.
