    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the design of a decoration made on the outer surface of a can trunk through a new visual effect.
      SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin film is glued on the outer surface of the trunk of a metal can via a resin adhesive. Between the resin adhesive layer and the thermoplastic resin film, pearl ink made of a resin composition containing a peal pigment and print ink made of a resin composition containing a colored pigment are printed to form a decorative layer on the can trunk. The pearl ink is made by coating a flake with silicon dioxide, which is further coated with iron oxide, or by coating the flake with titanium oxide, or by coating the flake with titanium oxide, which is further coated with iron oxide. The can trunk is subjected to either of an expand process, emboss process, bead process, or bulge process.

    • PURPOSE:To surely, horizontally advance caps of cans in upright and densely aligned relationship. CONSTITUTION:A device for closely aligning caps 5 of cans is provided, wherein a large number of caps 5 are continuously transferred in upright and densely aligned position in a predetermined direction. And an aligning mechanism 1 which successively transfers the caps 5 in a horizontal direction in upright and densely aligned manner with the surfaces of the caps being vertically held and a horizontally transferring mechanism 2 which transfers the caps 5 delivered from the mechanism 1, with the caps being held vertically in densely aligned manner, are mounted to a movable base 3 which moves back and forth in a direction parallel to the feed direction of the caps 5. Further, in front of the mechanism 2, there is provided a fixed guide 4 which keeps and guides the densely aligned caps 5 having been transferred from the mechanism 2 by the feeding force of the mechanism 2.
