摘要： PURPOSE:To keep high catalytic activity and to reduce the cost of a catalyst, by contacting exhaust gas containing an As-compound and NOx with reducing gas in the presence of a catalyst containing Ti, Mn and As as catalytically active components. CONSTITUTION:A catalyst containing 50-99% of Ti, 1-5% of Mn and 0.01-10% of As in an atomic ratio as catalytically active components is obtained. Ti, Mn and As are contained as oxides or sulfur compounds and supported by a porous carrier or kneaded with a carrier component. NOx is reduced by NH3 in the presence of the catalyst thus obtained. At this time, even when an As-compound such as As2O3 is contained in exhaust gas, the deterioration of the catalyst by the As-compound is suppressed.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dry type method and apparatus for regenerating a catalyst containing a degraded vanadium compound. SOLUTION: The method of regenerating the catalyst is performed by heating the catalyst containing the vanadium catalyst, the activity of which is degraded by sulfur oxide, in the air at 350-800 deg.C to increase the ratio (5-valent V/total V) of 5-valent vanadium (5-valent V) to total vanadium (total V) to >=65%. The apparatus for regenerating the catalyst is provided with a regeneration furnace having a heating means capable of heating the catalyst containing vanadium, which is packed in a catalyst packing case as it is drawn out from a reaction apparatus and the activity of which is degraded by the sulfur oxide, and a cleaning tower for removing sulfur oxide in a waste gas generated from the regeneration furnace.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regenerate a deteriorated denitration catalyst containing a vanadium compound and titanium dioxide deteriorated in activity by bringing the catalyst into contact with an aqueous solution containing a material which generates ammonia by heating or an acid, carrying out heating or acid treatment, thereafter, drying and firing them in air. SOLUTION: An active component turned into vanadyl sulfate in a denitration catalyst is brought into contact with an aqueous solution containing a material which generates ammonia by heating or an acid, e.g. urea or diacetylurea to convert the vanadyl sulfate into tetravalent vanadium oxide. This tetravalent vanadium oxide is further oxidized to vanadium pentoxide by firing it in air. A catalyst having a lowered vanadium content due to the dissolution of vanadium in water or containing the vanadium carried on titanium dioxide in an aggregated state is not favorable. Thus, the deteriorated denitration catalyst can be rangenerated.

SOLUTION: In this regeneration method, the denitration catalyst having activity deteriorated by SOx is immersed in an aqueous solution of an alkaline material selected from a group consisting of ammonia and amines and then, the catalyst is dried and fired in air. In this case, the concentration of the alkaline material in the aqueous solution is adjusted so that the aqueous solution after the immersion can maintain >=pH 4.0.

CONSTITUTION:A metal oxide (e.g. SiO2) or a metal hydroxide (e.g. aluminum hydroxide) is used as a seed and dispersed in a water-alcohol solvent. A tetraalkoxysilane (e.g. tetraethoxysilane) and a silicic acid solution are added to the dispersion while keeping the dispersion in alkaline state. The hydrolysis product of the tetraalkoxysilane and the polymerized silicic acid are deposited on the seed and the particle is grown to obtain monodisperse silica particles. The outermost layer of the silica particle is preferably polymerized silicic acid. The obtained silica particle has sharp particle size distribution and is suitable as a spacer of liquid crystal cell, etc.

At this time, the gas flowing passage 27 formed in the plug 25 is connected to the suction line 31 and then particles are charged in the blocking hole 26 densely by a constant amount. Then the plug 25 is rotted by a half again to communicate the blocking hole 26 with the particulate passage of the two-way cock 20 and the gas flow passage 27 is switched from the suction line 31 and connected to the pressure application line 32 almost simultaneously. Consequently, the particulates are supplied continuously and quantitatively.
