    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damping material used for absorbing and suppressing vibration generated from a transport machine such as a car or a railroad vehicle or an engine or a motor of a household electric product or an industrial machine and having damping capacity and sound-absorbing capacity excellent as an interior material for absorbing and suppressing noise generated by the vibration of the chassis of a car or a railroad vehicle. SOLUTION: A damping material is constituted by laminating a metal plate with a thickness of 0.5-2.0 mm and a rubber plate 2 or a sheet, which comprises a compsn. prepared by mixing a large amt. of a bituminous substance with a small amt. of unvulcanized rubber, having a thickness of 0.5-2.0 mm and, as the metal plate, an aluminum plate is most pref. and, as the rubber plate, both of natural rubber and synthetic rubber may be used and the hardness and specific gravity of rubber are not limited and the rubber plate or the sheet wherein a bituminous substance is mixed with unvulcanized rubber may be formed into either one of a flat sheet shape or an uneven shape.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain braking force more than that on an asphalt road surface at the time not only when a road surface is in a frozen state but also when in a dry state by providing protruding strips, each having a triangular section and a slant face, in a sawteeth way on a mat. CONSTITUTION:An elastic rubber mat 1, wherein slant faces 2 are provided on protruding strips 3 while being opposed to the advancing direction of an automobile, is laid on a road surface. This imparts speed reduction action due to gravity as in the case of traveling an up-grade road to a wheel, on a flat road. In downward traveling on a slope, braking action due to gravity as in the case of traveling an up-grade road is imparted to a wheel so as to provide physical speed reduction action. Particularly, car weight partial to front wheels when braking is applied is decreased by the slant faces 2 to secure braking force of rear wheels. Accordingly, braking force more than that on an asphalt road surface can be obtained even when a road surface is in a dry state.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the workability at a field and to enhance the water- tightness in a sheath pipe system joint, by interposing a packing which is compressed at a specific charge rate and in which the center part thereof is outwardly deformed into an 811918 shape, between a receiving port pipe of a sheath structure and a push pipe on which a thrust preventing part is fitted. CONSTITUTION:A sheath pipe 10 fitted at its inner surface with a stationary ring 20 is welded to the front end of a steel pipe so as to form a receiving pipe, and stopping rings 14 are welded to a steel pipe at a position having a predetermined distance from one end of the steel pipe so as to form a push pipe 11. A packing 13 having inner and outer surfaces on which bent grooves are formed at predetermined intervals, is fitted onto the end part of the push pipe 11, and the one end part thereof is pressed against the stopper rings 14, and a slide ring 19 is fitted thereon on the end side. Further, the push pipe 11 is inserted into the sheath pipe 10 so that the packing is deformed into a bellows-like shape by compression so as to be made into press-contact with the sheath pipe 10 and the push pipe 11, and thereafter, locking bolts 16... are fastened so as to complete the connection of the pipes. In this phase, the charge rate of the packing 13 is set in range of 70 to 130%.

    • PURPOSE:To manufacture a carpet having excellent durability, by cutting slenderly in widthwise a laminate prepared by covering both surfaces of a canvas for making a tire with rubber sheet, and by arranging cut pieces so that their rubber surfaces are abutted against each other. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of canvases 2 for making a tire, which are prepared by covering both surfaces of a cord-fabric cloth with raw rubber, are layered one upon another, and both surfaces of the layered canvases are covered with a raw rubber sheet 1. A laminate thus formed is vulcanized to be a thick board- like body (a), and this body (a) is cut slenderly widthwise into slender bodies (b) by a cutter 4. These slender bodies (b) are stuck fast on a sheet 5 in such a manner that the rubber surfaces 1' thereof are abutted against each other, and are fixed thereon. The cut surfaces of the canvases may be raised by scratching them by a roller with prickles. The article thus prepared is excellent in durability and appearance, since the vulcanized rubber surfaces 1' and the cut surfaces 2' of the canvases are arranged alternately in stripes. This article is suitable for a carpet to be laid on a bustling passage in a department store, an airport building, etc.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate and simplify installation and repair works by forming a fender in a structure in which only a specific worn and damaged unit can be exchanged while a metal plate is abutted and mounted and fixed from the external surface of a mounting skirt section by forming in a unit structure, and to provide the fender, which is lightweight and the cost of which is reduced, by using a recycled powdered rubber as a material rubber. SOLUTION: In the fender, a unit formed in a rubber vulcanized molded form having a section to be abutted, a side wall section extended in a fan shape from the section to be abutted and the mounting skirt section projected at the front end of the side wall section and having a fixed length is combined. The metal plate is abutted against the external surface of the mounting skirt section and the unit is fixed onto a quaywall through bolts and nuts. The material rubber for the unit is composed of the powdered rubber obtained by crushing a vulcanized rubber or a used tire or the waste material of an industrial rubber product.
