    • PURPOSE:To reduce waste materials, a cost, etc., by constituting a seal material in such a way that an elastic material is formed in a pole shape, and a longitudi nal notch is formed and also opposing notch surfaces are reversed to outer circumference sides respectively so as to be used in their condition formed in annular shapes. CONSTITUTION:A seal material 24 is formed in a pole shape with an elastically deformable material, and also a notch 38 which cuts through along longitudinal direction except the both ends in the longitudinal direction. Two opposing notch surfaces 40 which are formed by the notch 38 are respectively reversed to the outer circumference sides so as to be used in their condition formed in annular shapes. Namely, both ends of the notch 38 are laid on hands, and two opposing notch surfaces 40 formed by the notch 38 are expanded. Both notch surfaces 40 are peeled off so as to be push-opened to this side, and both notch surfaces 40 are reversed in surfaces orientated outward. In the seal material 24, a shoulder part is cut in slant sides 39 viewing from adhesive surface 36 side or a seal surface 37 side, and the slant sides 39 are joined with each other so as to be reversed in an annular shape approximately in a complete circular form.

A tip end 222 thereof contacts water-tightly with a tapered part 262 next to a large diameter part 263 of the valve 26. A rubber packing 24 is fitted to a space part bottom part between the inner and outer peripheries 201 and 203.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe member connection device enabling to inform a worker that pipes are adequately connected to each other.
      SOLUTION: The pipe member connection device comprises a male side pipe member 10, a female side pipe member 1, and a joint member 20 for connecting both pipe members 1, 10 to each other. The joint member 20 has an arm portion 24 to be elastically deformed, and a joint side protruded portion 28 to be elastically displaced so that its diameter is shrunk or enlarged in the radial direction of the female side pipe member 1 with the elastic deformation of the arm portion 24. The female side pipe member 1 has a female side protruded portion 6 for engaging with the joint side protruded portion 28, and an inner wall face 7 located on a track where an outside face 25 of the joint side protruded portion is elastically displaced. In a process for the joint side protruded portion 28 to engage with the female side protruded portion 6 when connecting both pipe members 1, 10 to each other, the joint side protruded portion 28 elastically displaced with its diameter shrunk is elastically displaced in the diameter enlarging direction until the outside face 25 of the joint side protruded portion knocks the inner wall face 7.
