摘要： PURPOSE:To make a staring load automatic reducing device in common for multiple cylinders by providing a single camshaft with a suction/exhaust valve driving cam among respective cylinders, and fitting the starting load automatic reducing device for a valve lift member adjacent to the cam. CONSTITUTION:A pair of suction/exhaust valves are connected to the suction/ exhaust valve driving cam 10 of a camshaft 9 between a pair of cylinders via respective rocker arms 11a, 11b and the like as valve lift members. In this case, a starting load automatic reducing device 16 is arranged between a cam sprocket 15 fixed on the shaft end of the camshaft 9 and the suction/exhaust valve driving cam 10. The device 16 consists of a weight 17, one end 17a of which is swingably journalled on the inner side surface of the cam sprocket 15, and a bell crank type push lever 19, which is inclinably shaft-supported on a flat surface 18 between the cam 10 and the cam sprocket 15. The cam 10 and the device 16 can be thereby respectively used by a single unit in com mon to a pair of cylinders.

摘要： PURPOSE:To automatically change a part of cam profile in correspondence to an engine turning speed by making a rack-arm turn a pinion with the aid of centrifugal force so that an auxiliary cam turns relatively. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 116 and an auxiliary cam 109 are formed on a cylinder, which freely turns on a cam shaft 102. A rack-arm 110, which is engaged with the pinion 116, is pivotally mounted on a side surface of a cam gear 108. Then, owing to the centrifugal force, which is generated by the turning of the cam shaft 102, the rack-arm 110 is moved, thereby turning the pinion 116. With this, the auxiliary cam 109 turns relative to the cam shaft 102, thereby changing the profile of an exhaust-side cam 106 and also changing the valve timing. Thus, a part of a cam profile is automatically changed for both high speed operation and low speed operation, and the filling efficiency of suction gas can be enhanced for both low speed operation and high speed operation.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of vibration and noise, when engine speed has decreased below a prescribed value, by regulating the return of a valve while turning a rocker arm at the time of the compression stroke so as to open the valve, and by releasing the return of the valve at the time of the explosion stroke so as to close the valve. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is operated, a stem end 9a is pushed down by the rocking motion of a rocker arm 8 as a camshaft 5 is turned, and a valve 9 is opened or closed in a prescribed timing. As the camshaft 5 is turned, the open ends of first and second communicating passages 18a, 18b move, and first and second oil passages 22a, 22b are periodically communication with a supply passage 19 via these communication passages 18a, 18b. At that time, if the engine speed is decreased below a prescribed number of revolutions to open a check valve 29, the rod 26a of an actuator 25 is protruded against a spring 28 by the discharged oil of an engine-driven oil pump 21, so that the return of the rocker arm 8 is regulated and the inside of the combustion chamber 3 is brought to a half-compressed condition.
