    • PURPOSE:To obtain a character recognizing device where the inclination of a character row is detected with a high precision and its processing cost can be reduced by providing a reference line extracting means which extracts a prescribed reference line and defines the inclination of this reference line as that of the character row. CONSTITUTION:A reference line extracting part 4 or the like is provided to constitute a character recognizing device. This extracting part 4 imagines arbitrary lines passing a specific position of each character segmented by a character segmenting part 3 and obtains a histogram on a parameter space with respect to pairs of parameters prescribing these lines and extracts the line, which is prescribed by the pair of parameters which give the highest frequency of the histogram, as the reference line and outputs inclination information having the inclination of the reference line as that of the character row. Therefore, the inclination of the character row is calculated with a relatively small amount of picture data, and the processing cost is reduced. Further, the inclination of the character row is obtained with a high precision because the histogram is taken on the parameter space and the inclination of the reference line is determined by the pair of parameters of the point of highest frequency.

    • PURPOSE:To execute a classification of a character which cannot be discriminated by only a shape, a detection of a line pitch, and a comparison, an integration and a classification based on a line pitch and a center line position by extracting a center line from one character line, evaluating a height position of a character, based thereon and classifying the character. CONSTITUTION:A document image which has been inputted from an input means 1 passes through a character line extracting part 2 and a character segmenting part 3, and a series of character circumscribed rectangles and a character pattern are extracted. A center line extracting part 4 extracts a center line from this series of character circumscribed rectangles, and a classifying part 5 uses the obtained center line and classifies each character, based on a position of its circumscribed rectangle. A pattern recognizing part 6 coordinates the character pattern and a pattern collation dictionary 7 and outputs a result of collation. An interpreting part 8 evaluates both a result of classification and a result of collation and outputs a result of recognition, and an output means 9 outputs a result of recognition.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a DA converter with high accuracy by devising the circuit in which an addition amplifier circuit combines plural low accurate DA conversion outputs and a decoder circuit uses an input digital value so as to correct the final output accuracy. CONSTITUTION:The decoder circuit 3 uses the input digital value so as to correct the final output accuracy of the DA converter. A summing amplifier circuit 7 applies summing amplification to each output of a monopolar DA conversion circuit 1 and a bipolar conversion circuit 2 via resistors 4, 5. Since each output is fed to an inverting input, the circuit 7 acts like an inverse amplifier and the resistors 4, 5 are used as input resistors and a resistor 6 is used as a feedback resistor. In selecting the input digital value as n-bit, the resolution of the monopolar DA conversion circuit 1 as m-bit and the resolution of the bipolar DA conversion circuit 2 as l-bit, the input resistor 4 is selected as 1/2 , and the ratio of the resistors 4, 5, 6 is selected as, e.g., 1/2:1:1. Thus, the gain G of the amplifier circuit 7 acting like the inverse amplifier is 2(=Rf/Ri).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fragrance substance cartridge kit to increase the actually attending feeling of a fragrance by which a user uses a fragrance substance cartridge without mistake for each content, and the fragrance substance cartridge, and a fragrance generating device. SOLUTION: This fragrance generating device is constituted of a fragrance generating body section 1 which generates a fragrance, an administration assisting section 2 which assists the administration of a fragrance substance, and an adding section 3 which provides images, sounds, forces and winds to impart a virtually realistic feeling other than the fragrance. The body section 1 comprises a housing section 11, a diffusing section 12, a control information-feeding section 13, a memory section 14, and a communication section 15. Then, the body section 1 evaporates and diffuses the fragrance substance based on fragrance control information. An electrode group 104 to identify the housed fragrance substance is provided on the surface of the housing section 11. Identification information constituted by the electrode group 104 is read by an electrode group 123 which is provided in the diffusing section 12. Whether a content is suitable for a required fragrance substance or not is judged by the control information-feeding section 13. When the content is not suitable, warning is emitted.
