摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust filter device hardly causing an over-collected state of particulates. SOLUTION: This exhaust filter device is provided with a particulate filter 11, a containing tube 12 for containing that, and presser plates 13 respectively inserted to both end parts of the containing tube 12. The particulate filter 11 comprises foam metal or foam ceramic, an outer circumferential surface of the particulate filter 11 is enclosed with a mesh body 16 woven of metal wire, and the mesh body 16 exists as a cushion member between an outer circumferential surface of the particulate filter 11 and an inner surface of the containing tube 12. Plurality of plate filters 11a of similar form and size comprising foam metal or foam ceramic are laminated on each other to form the particulate filter 11, a metal foil 14 or a metal thin plate is wound around it, and the wound metal foil 14 or metal thin plate is enclosed with the mesh body 16. The presser plate 13 comprises a plate having 13b, and a metal gauze 18 is provided between an end part of the particulate filter 11 and the presser plate 13.

SOLUTION: One end of an EGR pipe 13 connected to an exhaust pipe of an engine, the other end thereof is connected to an intake pipe of the engine, an EGR valve 14 provided in the EGR pipe 13 is constituted so as to open/close the EGR pipe 13 by an operating condition of the engine. This EGR valve 14 has a valve seat 18b formed with an exhaust gas inlet 18a for exhaust gas to flow in and a mushroom valve 17 closing the exhaust gas inlet 18a when seated in this valve seat and opening the exhaust gas inlet 18a when detached from the valve seat 18b to be protruded from the exhaust gas inlet 18a. Here, of the EGR pipe 13, between the other end of a pipe 13a in the upstream connecting one end to the exhaust pipe and the exhaust gas inlet 18a of the EGR valve 14, a large diametric pipe 21 of internal diameter larger than the upstream pipe is interposed.

摘要： PURPOSE: To effectively reduce a discharge amount of black smoke, the generation of which is feared during transient operation, without sacrificing acceleration responsiveness of a diesel engine. CONSTITUTION: An accelerator opening transmission means 5 with a damper is provided to transmit a pedaling amount of an accelerator pedal 4 to the control lever 3 of an injection pump 2. Further, an accelerator opening sensor 6 is provided to output a signal responding to a pedaling amount of the accelerator pedal 4. A controller 8 is provided to output a delay signal when, based on a signal outputted from the accelerator opening sensor 6, it is decided that transient operation wherein pedaling acceleration of the accelerator pedal 4 exceeds a predetermined value is carried out, and an electric type governor 7 is provided to reduce increase acceleration of fuel delivered from an injection pump 2 based on a delay signal outputted from the controller 8. This constitution reduces discharge of black smoke by limiting the degree of the increase of a fuel feed amount during transient operation.

摘要： PURPOSE: To shorten an EGR pipe so as to reduce a drop in temperature of exhaust gas and so as to prevent growth of soot by passing the EGR pipe connecting an exhaust side to an intake side of an engine right above the engine. CONSTITUTION: A mounting flange 10 is integrally arranged in one end of an EGR pipe 9 in which an EGR valve 14 is arranged. As the mounting flange 10 is fixed in an exhaust manifold 4 by means of a bolt 11, one end of the EGR pipe 9 is connected to an exhaust side inside of the exhaust manifold 4 via a hole perforated in the exhaust manifold 4. A mounting flange 12 is also integrally arranged in the other end of the EGR pipe 9. When the mounting flange 12 is fixed in an intake manifold 3 by means of a bolt 13, the other end of the EGR pipe 9 is connected to an intake side inside of the intake manifold 3 via a hole perforated in the intake manifold 3. In addition, the whole of the EGR pipe 9 is arranged right above a head cover 2 mounted in the upper part of the engine 1.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily advance the pressure wave of compressed air into an exhaust gas passage at the backwash of a filter, and separate nearly all particulates from the filter by the impact of the pressure wave. CONSTITUTION:A honeycomb filter 13 is provided in the course of an exhaust pipe connected to the exhaust manifold of an engine. The filter body 13a of this filter is formed into a cylinder extended in the direction of exhaust gas flow, and plural lines of bulkheads 13b extended in the direction of exhaust gas flow are provided in the filter body in parallel to each other at prescribed intervals in the direction orthogonal to the exhaust gas flow. Plural lines of exhaust gas passages 13c having substantially a rectangular section are formed in the filter body by the bulkheads. The outlet ports of the exhaust gas passages are sealed by outlet side stoppers every other line, and the inlet ports of the exhaust gas passages never sealed by the outlet side stoppers are sealed by inlet side stoppers 13e. A compressed air is sprayed to the filter from the exhaust gas downstream side, whereby the particulates collected by the filter are removed from the filter.

CONSTITUTION:A particulate collector 12 in the course of an exhaust pipe 11 has a filter chamber 12a for housing a filter 13 and a soot collecting chamber 12b provided under the filter chamber on the exhaust gas upper stream side from the filter. An air injection nozzle 16 for injecting a compressed air to the filter chamber at backwash of the filter is provided in the collector on the exhaust gas lower stream side from the filter. A bypass pipe 24 bypassing the collector has a soot incinerator 26, and the soot collecting chamber is connected to an upstream bypass pipe 24a by a soot guide pipe 27. Valve driving means 29, 32 open the first opening and closing valve 41 of the upstream exhaust pipe 11a and the second opening and closing valve 42 of the down stream exhaust pipe 11b, and close the third opening and closing valve 41 of the upstream bypass pipe at the collection of particulate by the filter, and close the first opening valve and the second opening valve and open the third valve at the back-washing of the filter.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of achieving both the reduction and elimination of NOx and the removal of particulates. SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device comprises a bypass flow passage 2 installed parallel with an engine exhaust route 1, a plasma reformer 3 assembled in the bypass flow passage 2, and an NOx storage/reduction type catalyst 8 and a particulate filter 9 installed on the downstream side of the portion of the engine exhaust route 1 where the bypass flow passage 2 is installed. An oxidation catalyst 10 is installed between the NOx storage/reduction type catalyst 8 and the particulate filter 9. Since, even if the temperature of the exhaust gas G fed to the NOx storage/reduction type catalyst 8 is approximately 550°C capable of avoiding the crystallization of BaSO 4 , the exhaust gas G passed through the NOx storage/reduction type catalyst 8 is heated to approximately 600°C by the oxidation catalyst 10, soot is burned also in the upstream side sealing part U of the particulate filter 9. SOLUTION: This exhaust noise reduction device for an engine is provided with a muffler 22 composed so as to reduce, by expansion, the pressure of the engine exhaust gas intruding from an inlet pipe 22a to muffle and discharge from an outlet pipe 22b, and a tail pipe 23 of which one end is connected to the outlet pipe 22b and the other end is open toward the atmosphere. When the sum of lengths of the outlet pipe 22b and the tail pipe 23 is defined as L, a hole 23a is formed on the tail pipe 23 of the portion corresponding to (L/12) from the other end thereof, and a covering member 27 for covering the hole is installed on the outer face of the tail pipe 23 spacing a prescribed clearance from the hole. It is preferable that the muffler 22 is hung down from a vehicular chassis frame 11, and the covering member is formed on a hanging member 26 which hangs the intermediate of the tail pipe 23 from the chassis frame 11.
