    • PURPOSE:To accurately perform a prealignment by a method wherein a digital signal which is output by an A/D conversion means is processed so as to convert its image density, a contrast is extracted on an X-Y matrix, the continuous existence of the extracted contrast is confirmed and an angle theta formed by its direction and a prescribed reference line are computed. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal from an image recognition means is converted into a digital signal by an A/D conversion means, its image density is binary- processed at a prescribed threshold value by an image-density conversion means, and a contrast is made clear. Then, the contrast is extracted on an X-Y matrix by an extraction means, the continuous existence of hook-shaped figures 8 is confirmed by an angle computation means on the basis of the extracted contrast, and an inclination angle theta formed by their direction A and the X-axis are computed. Thereby, a prelaignment can be performed accurately by an image processing means. In addition, the execution of a precise alignment performed in succession is guaranteed, and a high-accuracy dicing operation can be performed.

    • PURPOSE:To cut tie bars without replacing a tie bar cutter if the tie bars are arranged at the same pitch by a method wherein a male tie bar cutter and a female tie bar cutter both equipped with a specific number of cutting edges are mounted confronting each other independent of the number of the tie bars of a lead frame, and the pair of tie bar cutters is made to move along the axes of x, y, and theta. CONSTITUTION:A frame sheet 11 is fed in a lengthwise direction at a constant stroke on the upside of a table 9 fitting feed holes provided to both its sides to a film feed mechanism provided on both the ends of the table 9. When the frame sheet 11 is fed by a stroke and then stopped, a lead frame is located just at the window of the table 9, then a tie bar cutter 6 is moved along the axes of x and y to be aligned with tie bars, the tie bar cutter 6 is closed, and a male cutter 6a and a female cutter 6b are made to engage with each other to cut the tie bars. At this point, the tie bars and the edges of the tie bar cutter 6 are not required to be coincident with each other inn number. Therefore, a tie bar cutter is not required to be replaced, so that a tie bar cutter device of this design is enhanced in working efficiency.

In this case, many stone pieces 32 are made by smashing a natural stone board analogous to the board 31 and a little smaller than it, and they are bonded or stuck to the board 31, maintaining the positional relation of the stone piece 32, or a natural stone board a little smaller than the board 31 is stuck to the seat member and then, is smashed. And, the seat member is drawn out to position the smash face of the stone piece 32, which is smashed being stuck to the board 31, at proper interval. Hereby, the stone tile of mosaic pattern can be manufactured easily.

    • PURPOSE:To discharge contaminant contained in cutting liquid entirely to the outside so that the contaminant is wrapped up together with the cutting liquid by providing a cleaning-liquid jetting nozzle in the vicinity of a rotary blade at a specified angle in such a way that the cleaning liquid is splashed back in the substantially same direction as the scattering cutting liquid. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning-liquid jetting nozzle 11 is arranged in the vicinity of a rotary blade 4 in order to immediately remove cutting liquid 20, which is scattering by the rotation of the rotary blade 4. Cleaning liquid 12 (e.g. pure water), which is jetted through the cleaning-liquid jetting nozzle 11, is made to hit on the surface of a semiconductor wafer 3 and splashed back. The cleaning-liquid jetting nozzle 11 is attached at a specified angle so that the direction of the splashed-back liquid becomes the substantially same direction as the scattering direction of the cutting liquid 20. Since the rotary blade 4 is rotated counterclockwise, the blade 4 is attached at the specified angle on the left side of a blade cover 10 by an adequate means. The rotation follows the index sending of the rotary blade together with the blade cover 10.
