      SOLUTION: Grippers 6 provided on the outer periphery of a rotor 14 at even intervals in its circumference direction hold the neck part 8a of a square resin bottle 8 for transportation. Rotating means (52, 58, 62) are provided for rotating the grippers 6 relative to the rotor 14 and reciprocally moving means (18, 50) for keeping a constant distance from the irradiating face 12a of an electron ray irradiating apparatus. One face of the bottle 8 is moved kept in parallel with the face 12a on a straight line by the gripper 6 rotated by the rotating means in an electron ray irradiating section A.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a disinfectant medium such as an electron beam, etc. contact with even a part held with a gripper of a resin made bottle.
      SOLUTION: This gripper includes four pieces of container holding parts to make contact with an outer surface of a neck part of the resin made bottle, a cam 42 for opening and closing arranged at a central part of these container holding parts and a rotating means (pinion gear and sector gear, etc.) to rotate the container holding parts around the circumference of this cam 42 for opening and closing. A large diameter part is formed on the cam 42 for opening and closing so as to push a piece of the container holding parts outward. The container holding parts rotating around the circumference of the cam 42 for opening and closing are pushed outward one by one and separated from the resin made bottle when the resin made bottle held by four pieces of the container holding parts is rotated on a front surface of an electron beam irradiation device and the resin made bottle comes to be in a state held by three pieces of the container holding parts.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize an area where a gripper 2 interrupts an electron beam when a bottle 4 is irradiated with the electron beam in such a state that the gripper 2 holds the bottle 4. SOLUTION: The gripper 2 comprises: a pair of grip members 10A, 10B formed on the respective grip members and positioned on both sides of the bottle 4; and a pair of upper and lower projecting portions 22 (projecting portions 22Aa, 22Ab, 22Ac, 22Ad of one grip member and projecting parts 22Ba, 22Bb, 22Bc, 22Bd of the other grip member) disposed at two positions in the longitudinal direction. The neck part 4a of the bottle 4 is held by the projecting portions from both sides. The grip member has opening portions 10Ad, 10Bd extending therethrough. While the bottle 4 is held, an electron beam is emitted, to the neck part, through the gaps 24Aa, 24Ab, 24Ba, 24Bb between the upper and lower projecting parts 22 and the opening portions. The supporting portions 22A, 22B and respectively composed of two slim plate bodies 26A, 28A, 26B, 28B separated above and below. The abutting portions 24A, 24B on both the sides sandwich the neck part 4a of the bottle 4 from both the sides so as to hold the bottle 4. The supporting portions 22A, 22B do not contact the outer surface of the bottle 4 in such a state as to hold the bottle 4, so that the electron beam diffracts around the neck part 4a, thereby enabling to sterilize the whole surface.
