    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt and a method of manufacturing the transmission belt hardly broken and easily manufactured by having annular metal cords maintaining the wound shape causing no looseness of strand even under continuous repetitive loads.
      SOLUTION: The transmission belt B1 icnludes the annular metal cords C1 serving as tensile strength bodies, and a covering part 70 covering the annular metal cords C1. The annular metal cord C1 is formed by unstranding a metal cord 20 formed by stranding a plurality of stranded members 1, 2, to divide the metal cord 20 into two wire material groups with different total cross-sectional areas, setting the group of the stranded members 1 with the larger total cross-sectional area as a reused wire material group 3, while setting the group of stranded members 2 with the smaller total cross-sectional area as a non-used wire material group 4, and fitting and winding extra length parts 3b of the reused wire material group 3 into spiral cavity parts 5, from which the non-used wire material group 4 fell off, in the annular part 3a while forming a part in the longitudinal direction of the reused wire material group 3 into annular shape.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tension measurement device capable of measuring tension with high sensitivity in a reproducible fashion even when a target material has a twisted wire structure. SOLUTION: A cylindrical magnetizing device 2 is provided so as to enclose part of a long magnetic material A as a target material to be measured. The magnetic material A is DC-magnetized in a range of saturation asymptotic magnetization in a longitudinal direction of the magnetic material A. An intensity of a space magnetic field at a portion in the vicinity of a surface of the magnetic material A whose change with respect to a stress change is great, is detected by means of a Hall element (a magnetic sensor) 4 provided in the vicinity of a central part in the longitudinal direction of a magnetized portion of the magnetic material A. The tension applied to the magnetic material A is measured on the basis of the detected value. As a result, the measured result is obtained with high sensitivity in a reproducible fashion so that the tension measurement device can be adopted to a target material having a twisted wire structure.
