摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the same measurement as in the case wherein a dual potentiostat is used by separating each pattern-state thin film electrode on an insulating substrate at a minute interval, and conducting one electrode to an electrode that is separated from a detecting part with a minute electrode cell. CONSTITUTION:One working electrode is connected to an ordinary potentiostat. The other electrode which is separated at a minute interval is connected to an electrode which is separated from a detecting part. An object material is oxidized or reduced with the working electrode which is connected to the potentiostat. Then the material is diffused to the other working electrode which is separated at a minute interval. However, the oxidized or reduced object material is not diffused to the electrode which is located at the remote position. A potential is generated across the working electrodes based on the concentration difference between the electrodes. Thus, the object material which is oxidized or reduced with the working electrode that is connected to the potentiostat is reduced or oxidized with the other working electrode and returned to the original material. Namely, redox cycling occurs, and high sensitivity can be achieved.

摘要： PURPOSE:To allow excellent electrochemical measurement by forming a pair of comb-shaped working electrodes meshed with each other, a reference electrode and a counter electrode on the same substrate and modifying at least either of the comb-shaped working electrodes with an oxidation-reduction type material having a catalytic effect. CONSTITUTION:A pair of the comb-shaped electrodes 1, 2 meshed with each other, the reference electrode 3 and the counter electrode 4 are formed on the silicon substrate 6 with an oxide film. A lead wire is connected to an electrode part 1-2 of the electrode 1 and the substrate is immersed in an aq. soln. of glucose oxidase and pyrrole to effect an electrolytic polymn., by which a polymerized pyrrole film 9 contg. the glucose oxidase is deposited. The sensitivity is improved and the excellent electrochemical measurement is executed by forming the cell in such a manner.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make electrochemical measurement with high sensitivity and good responsiveness by integrating and forming all of working electrodes arranged with many working electrodes having fine pores, a reference electrode and a counter electrode on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The very small electrode cell formed by integrating the many working electrodes 4 formed of a metal or semiconductor or semimetal, the counter electrode 5, and the reference electrode 6 on the substrate 1 is formed with the thin film of the metal, semiconductor or metal and insulating film successively on the substrate 1 the surface or entire part of which has an insulating characteristic. The insulating film of the uppermost layer is thereafter etched to open the many fine pores and to expose the metal part, by which the working electrodes 4 are formed. The patterns of the reference electrode 6 of the metal, semiconductor or semimetal and the counter electrode are formed by a lift off method on the insulating film remaining without being etched. The reference electrode 6 is obtd. by coating the same with an oxidation- reduction material.

Then, electricity is allowed to flow between both electrodes and the thin film of the arom. cpd. is thereby electrolytically oxidized to give a thin film of an arom. polymer thin film. The polymer thin film thus obtd. has excellent electrical conductivity, oxidation-reduction characteristic, electrochromism and so on and is suitably used as a thin film battery, a display material and so on.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a conductive polymer film continuously, by coating a drum electrode with a polymer film, dipping it in a solution for electrolytic polymerization containing an aromatic compound, and separating the film from the drum after electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A counter electrode 7 is placed in an electrolytic polymerization tank 8 holding a solution for electrolytic polymerization 6 containing an aromatic compound (e.g. pyrrole) and an electrolyte, and a rotatable drum electrode 1 is placed opposite to the counter electrode 7. A film-forming synthetic resin 3 is applied on the rotating drum electrode 1 and dried to form a polymer film 5 thereon. Then the drum 1 is dipped in the solution for electrolytic polymerization 6, to electrolytically polymerize the aromatic compound and to disperse the formed aromatic polymer in the film 5. The film 5 is separated, washed and dried to give an objective conductive polymer film 13.
