    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a D.C. relay having a simple structure and capable of surely cutting off a D.C. high voltage without fusing a contact.
      SOLUTION: This D.C. relay is provided with a pair of contact couples which contact to and separate from each other and at least either of which is a moving contact. Each of contact parts 11a, 21a, 31a and 31b of the contacts is formed of a Ag alloy of a chemical composition containing 1-9 mass% of Sn and 1-9 mass % of In, has a first layer of a surface and a second layer of the inside. Micro Vickers hardness of the first layer is not lower than 190; micro Vickers hardness of the second layer is not higher than 130; and the thickness of the first layer is set in a range of 10-360 μm.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relay device convenient to handle having a simple structure capable of accomplishing the miniaturization and reduction of weight, and cutting off a D.C. high voltage in a short time.
      SOLUTION: A plurality of fixed contacts 2 and a plurality of moving contacts 3 are disposed oppositely to each other in a case 1; the moving contacts 3 are supported by a contact displacement mechanism 4; and it is displaced by a solenoid 6 to open and close the respective fixed contacts 2 and the respective moving contacts 3. A series circuit is formed when the plurality of contacts 2 and 3 are electrically connected; and the generation of arcs between the respective contacts 2 and 3 is restrained by voltage dividing. This very compact relay device capable of extinguishing the arc without the need to form the periphery of each contact into an airtight structure and without securing a large extension amount of the arc, shaped into a single package and convenient to handle can be provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-reliability D.C. relay capable of cutting off a D.C. high voltage in a short time by a small and simple structure.
      SOLUTION: This D.C. relay is so structured that a moving contact 3 of a switch 10 is brought into contact with and separated from fixed contacts 21 and 22 by moving forward and backward a moving iron core 54 of a solenoid 50. At least one pair of intermediate fixed contacts 23a and 23b are formed between both the fixed contacts; the respective moving contacts 3 are arranged and connected so that the fixed contacts are serially connected in coming into contact with the respective fixed contacts 2. When a cutoff high voltage is divided by dividing each contact like that, the size of an arc between the contacts is reduced, the arc can be extinguished in a short time, and damage to the contact caused by an arc current is restrained. A request for various kinds of sizes is met by separating the switch 10 from the solenoid 50 and by selecting the size of one of them with respect to the other. The contacting/separating action of the contact is stabilized by screwing both its casings 1 and 51 in the contacting and separating direction, and by restraining a length variation in the forward and backward movement direction of the solenoid as much as possible.
