    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for effectively separating impurity elements and mutually separating palladium, platinum, iridium, ruthenium and rhodium with purity to commercially produce them by preventing the increase of the content ratios of the impurity elements to the platinum group elements in a mother liquid by using highly safe compounds and processes in the method for mutually separating the platinum group elements. SOLUTION: The mutual separation method for the platinum group elements includes: a first process of subjecting a platinum group element-containing material including the impurity elements to leaching; a second process of extracting the impurity elements by a solvent from the liquid generated by the leaching; a third process of extracting the palladium by a solvent from a leaching residue; a fourth processing of extracting the cation type impurities by a solvent from the leaching residue; a fifth process of separating the platinum by hydrolyzing the leaching residue; a sixth process of separating the ruthenium by leaching from the precipitate; and a seventh process of extracting the iridium by a solvent and obtaining the liquid generated by the reverse leaching and containing the iridium and the leaching residue containing the rhodium.
