    • PURPOSE:To accurately measure the distance up to an object, by providing a reference voltage setting means for setting a reference voltage level to magnitude exceeding a noise level during a time when a transmission part transmits an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:Control data is outputted to an ultrasonic wave generating circuit 7 from CPU3 through an I/O interface 6 and the ultrasonic wave generated from the circuit 7 is transmitted to an object 21 according to said control data through an amplifier 10 and a transmitter 1. The reflected wave from the object 21 is inputted to a comparator 9 through a receiver 2, an amplifier 12 and a detection circuit 11. At the time of measurement of a distance, CPU3 outputs reference voltage to the comparator 9 through the interface 6 and a D/A converter 8. The reference voltage is compared with a received signal by the comparator 9 and, when the received signal exceeds the reference voltage, detection data is outputted. The reference voltage level in the comparing part of a receiving part can be made large at the time of the transmission of the ultrasonic wave. Therefore, the noise signal generated by the transmission of the ultrasonic wave does not exceed the reference voltage and a distance can be accurately measured.

    • PURPOSE:To decide securely whether or not an object body is present without any malfunction due to a noise and to obtain a stable detection output by comparing the counted value of clock pulses with a set value and deciding whether or not the counted value is within an effective range. CONSTITUTION:A pulse train intermitting means 2 intermits a pulse train transmitted by an ultrasonic sending means 1 at a constant period and a time detecting means 3 detects the time from the transmission of an ultrasonic wave pulse by the sending means 1 to the arrival of the pulse train at the ultrasonic oscillator of the sending means 1 after reflection by the object body. A time setting means 8 generates a set value including a permissible error range based on the detected time detected by the detecting means 3. Then, a presence/ absence deciding means 4 compares the output of a detecting means 3 with the set value set by a setting means 8 at every period of the intermitting means 2 to decide whether the output is within an effective range or not, thereby storing the result in a storage means 5. When a effective decision result is stored in the storage means by prescribed times continuously, a deciding means 6 sends a presence signal to drive a switch circuit 7.

    • PURPOSE:To display the signal of an object so as to be capable of easily discriminating the same from other signals, by a method wherein a timewise phase difference signal is converted to a phase difference signal to frequency and discriminating the phase difference signal to frequency equal to or less than predetermined frequency and equal to or more than a predetermined level from the other signal as the signal of the object. CONSTITUTION:The signal received by a first receiver 1 and the signal received by a second receiver 2 are sent to a correlation device 3 and receive correlation processing to calculate a phase difference signal phi. This phase difference signal phi is the function of the incident angle phi of a plane wave and sent to a memory 4 to be temporarily stored therein as a time series signal. In the memory 4, a time width T is made constant while a delivery range is timewise shifted by T and repeatedly sent to a Fourier transformer 5 which in turn performs frequency analysis at every time series signal of the time width T. The frequency spectrum 105 of the output of the Fourier transformer 5 is sent, to a threshold value judge device 6. The threshold value judging device 6 judges whether the sent signal frequency spectrum has a value equal to or less than certain frequency and equal to or more than a predetermined level and outputs said spectrum.
