    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a control device that can promptly control a temperature rise of a first engagement device in a comparatively simple processing contents.SOLUTION: The control device for a vehicle drive device includes: an input member for drive connection with a drive power source of the wheel; an output member for drive connection with the wheel; and a transmission mechanism. The control device includes: an engagement control unit that makes a first engagement device a slip engagement state in a low output rotation state whose input conversion speed is lower than an actual rotation speed of the input member; an object amount acquisition unit to obtain the temperature or the heating amount gear position of the first engagement device as a main monitoring object amount M1; and a shift control unit that shifts the first engagement device from the slip engagement state to a release state when a main monitoring object amount M1 becomes the first determination threshold Th1 or more, and shifts the second engagement device to the state of the slipping connection, and shifts the gear position from the first gear position to the second gear position.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an automatic transmission that avoids a gear shift shock by eliminating a one-way clutch.SOLUTION: The coast-down that occurs in a downshift and deceleration of a vehicle is performed in a driving condition where the rotation speed of an input shaft 21 of a hydraulic power transmission 20 is higher than that of an output shaft 22. A shift control device 7 performs feedback control of a second frictional engagement element B1 so that the rotation speed of the output shaft 22 of the hydraulic power transmission 20 becomes a target rotation speed when the coast-down is performed.
