    • PURPOSE:To positively absorb impact force from all directions of the outer peripheral surface by providing a tire-shaped impact force-pressure receiving member made of hard elastic material on the outer periphery of a reinforcing member mounted to a fixed cylindrical reaction force base, and sealing a vicoelastic body in the inside of the impact force-pressure receiving member. CONSTITUTION:On the outer peripheral surface of a reaction force base 7, a reinforcing member 5 is fixed, and on the outer peripheral surface og the reinforcing member, a single hollow impact force-pressure receiving member 2 formed by a tube 4 made of rubber softer than hard rubber and a hard rubber outer-shell body 3 provided on the outer peripheral surface of the tube, is fixed. When force F is applied to the impact force-pressure receiving member 2 from either direction, the pressure receiving member is deformed to deform a viscoelastic body 6, but kinetic energy of an impact body is absorbed by restoring force of the viscoelastic body. When impact force is removed, the impact force-pressure receiving member 2 is automatically returned to its initial state by restoring force held by the impact force-pressure receiving member 2 itself.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent buckling of a support device by stacking visco-elastic bodies and steel plates to increase the rigidity out the direction of shearing deformation and providing a sliding surface not to increase the bending deformation quantity. CONSTITUTION:A visco-elastic support device is connected on its both ends to an object to be supported, such as piping, and to a frame by means of spherical joints 1, using pins. Therefore, even when the pipe etc., makes complicated move due to the action of an internal fluid, the external force of an earthquake, or the like, only the axial force is transmitted to the support device due to the spherical joints 1. Then, by stacking visco-elastic bodies 4 and steel plates 5, the rigidity out a shearing deformation plane is increased. Consequently, in the case whre a load is applied, buckling of the support device is prevented and the visco-elastic body absorbs the vibration energy by its shearing deformation. Sliding members 3 are provided between the strength members 5 so that the deformation can occur only in the shearing direction of the visco-elastic bodies 4. Because the bending deformation quantity within the shearing deformation plane is limited by these sliding members, an object to be supported, such as piping, vibrates, due to the external force, so that even when a load is applied to the support device, the support device does not suffer buckling.
