    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer instrument for vehicles that can suppress the radiation of electric noise without increasing design manhours by contriving the configuration of a printed circuit board.
      SOLUTION: The circuit board is divided into two. Movements 5a-5c whose layout on the circuit board is changed with a change in the design of a dial 2 by the model change of a vehicle, light emitting diodes 61a-65, a connector 15b, a buzzer 16, and a selection switch 17 are mounted to a flexible printed circuit board 4. A controller 10 for generating electric noise when it is operated is mounted to a printed circuit board 9. As a result, measures against the radiation of electric noise from the controller 10 are completed in the printed circuit board 9, and the circuit of the flexible printed circuit board 4 can be designed easily. Accordingly, the design manhours of a combination meter 1 are reduced greatly, thus realizing the combination meter 1 for suppressing the generation of electric noise.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a displaying device of which the visibility is good by reducing flickering.
      SOLUTION: This displaying device is equipped with a luminescent type display apparatus 26 of which the displaying brightness can be changed, an illumination degree detecting means 18 which outputs a detected value x in response to the illumination degree as a detection signal X, and a microcomputer 20 which computes a control signal Y based on the detected value x. The microcomputer 20 performs judging processes (processes from a step S1 to a step S5) for which whether the variation of the detected value x emitted from the illumination detecting means 18 is a value variation occurring temporarily, within a short time and suddenly or not is judged. The microcomputer 20 computes a target brightness value y based on the detected value x only when it is judged that the detected value x is not a sudden value variation by the judgment result, and outputs the control signal Y based on the target brightness value y to a luminescent element 5.
