    • PURPOSE:To use the whole circumference of a torus-shaped character ring, to openings thereof characters and figures are arranged, by loosely attaching the character ring and an annular operation lever at the outside of a lifting circular body. CONSTITUTION:An annular operation lever 11 is contacted with a torus-shaped character ring 5 to openings thereof characters and figures are arranged, one circular notch 12 is formed to the inner edge, and V-shaped notches 14 are made up in response to each character hole 13 over the whole circumference of an inner surface of the character ring 5. A coil spring 16 and a set pin 17 are inserted into a concave hole 15 formed to a lifting circular body 6, and an edge-shaped nose section 18 of the pin 17 is entered into the notch 12 and the notches 14 in common. The annular operation lever 11 is turned until a colliding and contacting pipes 22 contacts with a stopper 23 spanned over an upper section of the character ring 5, the pin 17 is detached from the notch 12 and pushed down, the pin 17 is kept apart from the notches 14 and made free, the desired character is located just above a boring needle, the lever 11 is returned to the original position, the nose 18 of the pin is fitted to the notches 12, 14 and the character ring is stopped.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a printer at low cost by a constitution wherein sizes of type wheels and a type wheel selection mechanism are made smaller than that of the full column number and a platen is moved to a column direction to perform printing for one line of a type. CONSTITUTION:This printer consists of type wheels 30 of multiple rows arranged on a type wheel shaft 32 and a platen 33 installed with a recessed part 331. And first of all, a desized type in the left column types 301 among a full type wheel 30 is stopped at a type position by means of an operation of a selection pawl 31, and a platen 33 is moved to an arrow head H direction to press the type wheel 30 through a printing paper 35. At this time, a right column type 302 of the type wheel 30 is not pressed and printed. Next thereto, the platen 33 is moved to an arrow head G direction and the recessed part 331 of the platen 33 is made to face to the lefr column of the type wheel 30. Then, the type wheel 30 is pressed to print a right column type 302 and the printing for the full column lines is ended. Accordingly, a space of a column direction of the type wheel direction mechanism is made wide and the number of parts can be reduced.

CONSTITUTION:The rotation of a motor 101 is started in accordance with a printing instruction signal to revolve a type wheel shaft 201 in a forward direction P through gears 104-107, a type wheel shaft foward rotation gear 110 on a cam shaft 103 and a type wheel shaft gear 203. Type wheels 202 are rotated forward by the forward revolution of the type wheel shaft 201. When types for one to-be-printed line are trued up as to all digits, a cam 111 on the shaft 103 and a cam 204 on the type wheel shaft 201 are engaged with each other to stop the type wheels 202 to perform printing. After that, a type wheel shaft backward rotation sector gear 108 on the shaft 103 is engaged with a reset gear 205 to transmit the rotation of the gear 205 to the type wheel shaft 201 to rotate the type wheel revolving shaft 201 in a backward direction Q. As a result, the type wheels 202 are revolved backward. The shaft 103 is stopped by a motor stop signal so that the gears 108, 205 are stopped as they remain engaged with each other.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the printer with reduced noises and stains by a method wherein an intermediate shaft is provided between a hollow printing-type wheel and a driving shaft piercing through the central part of the wheel and these three components are linked in specific relations, thus the wheel being enabled to press on paper and a platen. CONSTITUTION:The hollow intermediate shaft 15 is provided inside the hollow printing-type wheel 1 and between this and the driving shaft 2. In the driving shaft 2 is formed a hole 16 piercing through the center of the shaft 2, while in the intermediate shaft 15 is also formed a hole 17 crossing the center thereof, and a pin 18 is inserted through both holes 16 and 17 and fixed to the intermediate shaft 15, being made slidable to the driving shaft 2. And, in the peripheral walls of the intermediate shaft 15 and the printing-type wheel 1 are formed holes 19 and 20 respectively in the directions perpendicular to the pin 18, a pin 21 being inserted through these holes. Thus, when an electromagnet 8 is operated by a printing instruction and a driving lever 14 is tilted to press a ring 3 attached to the printing-type wheel 1, the wheel 1 moves from the driving shaft 2 and presses paper P and a platen 12, thus printing is performed.
