摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve further improvement of response performance of seek operation.SOLUTION: A disk storage, when performing seek operation for moving a head to a target track, executes: a step for shortening each period for retrieving multiple position signals, with respect to a first timing signal that shows timing for retrieving the multiple position signals included in data retrieved from a disk; a step for concurrently generating a second timing signal by making center time in each period closer to decoding center time equivalent to a center of a recording area where the position signals are recorded; and a step for decoding a position of the head based on the multiple position signals retrieved in accordance with the generated timing signal.
