    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress production of slip of driving wheels to be driven by the power from an induction motor. SOLUTION: When a vehicle travels on a low μ road surface, the number of primary delay revolutions Ntmp obtained by subjecting the number of revolutions Nm of the induction motor to primary delay processing is calculated (steps S110, S140). When no slip is produced, the number of primary delay revolutions Ntmp is used to subject the induction motor to variable voltage and variable frequency control (steps S150, S160). When slip is produced, the driving frequency Fs of the induction motor is set to a driving frequency Fpre used last time in executing the driving routine, to control the induction motor to be driven at the set driving frequency Fpre (steps S150, S170).
