    • PURPOSE:To enable effective preliminary refining of a molten iron while decreasing the erosion of a blast furnace spout by blowing refining agents into the molten iron from plural nozzles which are arranged in the flow direction of the molten iron and disposed to direct the top ends thereof toward the center from the wall surface sides of the spout at the time of allowing the molten iron tapped from the blast furnace to flow in the blast furnace spout. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of the nozzles for blowing the refining agents are mounted between a skimmer 2 and slag discharge port 1a of the blast furnace spout 1 in order to make preliminary refining such as desiliconizing, dephosphorizing and desulfurizing at the time of allowing the molten iron 3 tapped from the blast furnace to flow in the blast furnace in an arrow direction. The nozzles 4 are disposed by arraying the same in two rows in the flow direction (arrow) of the molten iron 3. The nozzles 4 are so disposed as to direct the top ends thereof toward the central part from the wall surface sides of the blast furnace spout 1. The angles of inclination thereof are set at alpha=15 deg. and theta=10 deg. and the nozzles 4 are disposed zigzag. The molten iron 3 is thoroughly stirred by only the blowing of the refining agents. Formed molten slag 6 parts from the wall surfaces of the spout 1 and gathers at the center, then the slag is discharged from the slag discharge port 1a and therefore, the erosion of the inside wall surfaces (particularly the part of the molten slag 6) of the spout 1 by the molten slag 6 is obviated and the service life of the spout 1 is extended.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce a repair material to be used by about 80% and repair time by about 40% as compared to the prior art by repairing the damaged part of a furnace wall by using a nozzle for spraying attached to a swiveling chute and an optical fiber scope. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber scope 14 and a nozzle 13 for spraying attached with a flexible tube at the root end are provided to a swiveling chute 12 in such a way that the respective projecting lengths from the top of the chute 12 are adjustable. The nozzle 13 and the scope 14 are positioned to face the damaged part 15 of a furnace wall by the adjustment of the respective projecting lengths, and the swiveling and tilting operation of the chute 12. The operator repairs the damaged part of the furnace wall while observing said part through the optical fiber scope 14.

    • PURPOSE:To control the combustion temp. at tuyere ends always at adequate values by blowing steam directly into the tuyeres of a blast furnace and controlling the rate of blowing of the steam in accordance with the conditions of the furnace. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 5 for blowing steam is located in a tuyere 2 of a blast furnace and steam is blown through the nozzle. A control mechanism for flow rate constituted of an operating device 7, a flow rate setter 8, a flowmeter 9, a solenoid valve 10, etc. is provided in the course 6 through which the steam flows to the nozzle 5. A blasting temp. A, moisture B contained in blast, flow rate C of blast, an enriching rate D of O2, and the value E of liquid fuel measured with the flowmeter 12 are inputted to the operating device 7 which calculates the quantity required for attaining the adequate combustion temp. at the tuyere end from these values and outputs the same to the setter 8. The value measured with the flowmeter 9, that is, the quantity of the steam flowing through the nozzle 5 is also inputted to the setter 8 which compares and operates both input signals, converts the difference thereof to the opening or closing signal for the valve 10 and outputs the signal to the valve 10.
