SOLUTION: A toilet seat 24 and the toilet bowl cover device 26 are fixed in front of a low tank cover 22. The toilet bowl cover device 26 includes a toilet bowl cover 28 and a pair of arms 30 and 30 disposed on both right and left sides of the toilet bowl cover 28. The toilet bowl cover 28 is composed of a single piece. The front end of each arm 30 is connected to a turning shaft 30a extended from the toilet bowl cover 28 side, and the rear end thereof is connected to a driving shaft 30b extended from a protruded portion 22a of the low tank cover 22. When the driving shaft 30b is driven to rotate, each arm 30 is turned to rise. The toilet bowl cover 28 is turned on the turning shaft 30a so that its front end is positioned lower than its rear end, and is raised keeping its front surface facing forward from a western style toilet bowl 20.

At the time of non-flushing, i.e. when wash water is not supplied to the rim nozzle 4 or the jet nozzle 5, on-off valves 41, 43 are closed and an on-off valve 42 is opened to store water in the pressure accumulator 61. At the time of flushing, water is supplied to the rim nozzle 4 for a predetermined period, and only the first on-off valve 41 is opened, followed by supplying water to the jet nozzle 5 only via a first channel 31 by using direct pressure of service water pressure. After a lapse of a predetermined time t, the second and third on-off valves 42, 43 are opened, and pressure water in the pressure accumulator 61 is supplied to the jet nozzle 5. When the toilet seat support member 2 rises, the light 3g is lit. The energization to an electric opening/closing unit, a hot water selector valve, a valve unit, a hot air fan, a deodorizing fan, a room heating fan, a heater of a hot water tank and the raising unit is made to stop.
