摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time until a proper exposure value is calculated in an imaging unit such as a camera.
SOLUTION: The imaging unit and a photometric instrument are constituted so as to perform photometry by using a light reception quantity detection element in which high sensitivity pixels and low sensitivity pixels are formed. The photometric diagram of the high sensitivity pixels of the light reception quantity detection element becomes characteristic rays A, C, etc. and the photometric diagram of the low sensitivity pixels becomes characteristic rays B, D, etc. Thus, measurement of a range of 0EV to 8EV using the characteristic rays A, B is enabled by a single operation of photometry and when both of the high sensitivity pixels and the low sensitivity pixels are saturated, measurement of a range of 8EV to 16EV using the characteristic rays C, D is enabled by performing photometry again by closing an aperture, etc.
