    • PURPOSE:To enable a recording head and a head arm to be connected or separated from each other extremely easily and securely, by detachably fitting the head to the head arm through first and second fastening member. CONSTITUTION:A heat sink 15 formed of a metal having favorable thermal conductivity has a projection 15a at a predetermined position on a back surface thereof. The projection 15a is provided with a fitting hole 15b as a first fastening member, both side surfaces of the projection 15a constitute guide surfaces 15c, and a bottom surface 15d of the projection 15a constitutes a positioning surface. A cover 23 is fixed by a small screws 24 to the back surface of a head arm 13 on which a connector 21a is provided. The cover 23 is provided with a hole 27, and a fitting member 25 is fitted in the hole 27 through a push spring 26 to constitute a second fastening member. The fitting member 25 is retracted to the side of the cover 23 against the push spring 26, and the guide surfaces 15c of the projection 15a of a recording head 14 are brought into contact with and fitted to both side surfaces 20 of a notched groove. When the positioning surface 15d of the projection 15a and a bottom surface 30 of the groove make contact with and are engaged with each other, a terminal row 20b and the connector 21a make contact with and are engaged with each other. When a knob 28 is rotated while energizing the fitting member 25 by the push spring 26, the fitting member 25 is screw-engaged with the fitting hole 15b to fix the head 14 to the head arm 13.

    • PURPOSE:To enable recording with a uniform density to be performed even with a smaller platen, by providing a recording head support member with a curved part opposed to a platen roller, and arranging recording elements along the curved part. CONSTITUTION:A support plate 10 is cut out in an arcuate shape on the side for close contact with a platen, and heat generating elements 11 are provided in the vicinity of, e.g. on a side face of, the arcuate cutout part. The shape of the cutout is so set that a recording head 13 makes close contact with the platen at an inclination theta. Since the recording head 13 itself is flat through the heat generating elements 11 are curved in the arcuate shape or other similar shape, the heat generating elements and wirings from the heat generating elements to an external flexible substrate or other similar connecting part 12 can be provided by a conventional technique such as printing. The heat generating elements 11 are so provided that dots are recorded at regular intervals. Though the heat generating elements 11 are provided on the side face of the support plate 10, they may be provided on an end face of the curved part of the support plate 10. Recoding elements are not limited to the heat generating elements 11, and may be ink jet elements or other recording elements.

    • PURPOSE:To enable an image recording to be sharply conducted on a body to be recorded in a color according to a bit of color information, by a method wherein a setting means setting a peeling condition in which an erasing sheet is separated from a recording body after being heated is provided and a relative movement of the erasing sheet to the recording body is controlled according to the setting means. CONSTITUTION:By rotation of a motor to drive a cam 42; a ribbon 16 set on a ribbon plate 12 is travelled between a position to be heated by a thermal head 29 and a stand-by position to be out of the heat position, and also the thermal head 29 is moved between a position to be abutted on an ink ribbon 10 or the ink ribbon 16 and a stand-by position to be out of the abutting position. An abutting force of the thermal head 29 against the ink ribbons 10, 16 is also made variable as a peeling member 30 travels. Pressing of an end of an arm 110 by a bent and raised part 45a allows a winding spring 112 to be pressed at an end thereof, thus the winding spring 112 presses a bending portion 51a of an arm 51 being rotatably held to a shaft 52 at the other end 112a thereof. In this manner, the peeling member 30, being rotatably held on the top end of the shaft 11 connecting to the upper face of the arm 51, abutts on a platen 1-2 through a ribbon 10 and presses the platen with a force F''.

CONSTITUTION:With the lever 9B turned in the direction of arrow A until it makes contact with a stopper 11B, a pawl 10B of a levered ring 9 is slidden along a tapered part of a notch provided in a gear-moving ring 8. Concurrently with the sliding motion, the ring 8 is shifted by a distance S to the side of a platen 1 together with the gear member 6 against the force of a spring 5, and a serration gear 7 fixed to the platen shaft 1A is disengaged from teeth 6C of the gear member 6, resulting in that the shaft 1A can be freely rotated together with a platen 1 without any restriction.

CONSTITUTION:By pressing a continuous erase key 15A set in an input device 15, a carriage drive signal S1 outputted from a degital servo controller 30 in a carriage drive circuit 19 drives a motor 10, moving a carriage 2 to the erase start position. The continuous characters to be erased are read from a line buffer memory 17A to be judged whether the characters are continuous. The first character is erased as follows: An erase solenoid controller 40 outputs control signals S2 and S3, and stops supply of the control signal S2 to hold a solenoid 9 when an erase ribbon arm 8 is fully lifted by the solenoid 9. In this condition, a printing hammer drive circuit 21 receives a hammer drive signal S4 to drive a printing hammer 3, erasing the first character on a printing paper 7.
