    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device by which a read image with high quality is obtained. SOLUTION: In the case that a storage time of photoelectric conversion of a sensor is extended, a current for an LED 17 is decreased. That is, a resistor 40R and a switch 37 are used to decrease a current flowing to the LED 17 by a portion corresponding to increased storage time and to decrease the luminous quantity for driving the LED 17, thereby allowing image reading in a steady state. On the other hand, when the storage image of photoelectric conversion of the sensor is decreased, a current flowing in the LED 17 is increased, that is, a resistor 36 and a switch 36 are in use and the current flowing to the LED 17 is increased by the decreased storage time in increase the luminous amount and to drive the LED 17, thereby enabling image read in a steady state. Thus, the quantity of light is adjusted to prevent temperature fluctuation in the light source thereby obtaining read image of high quality.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read a white reference sheet no matter where the white reference sheet is passed through to the paper passing position of a printing part by exchangeably attaching a printing head and a scanner head to a carrier, feeding an original or the white reference sheet in a sub scanning direction and controlling the moving amount of the carrier to specified relation. The moving amount A of the carrier in this case is indicated by the relation expression of D> A>=D-C+B. In the relation expression, the moving amount of the carrier required for reading one piece of white reference data by the scanner head loaded to the carrier is indicated by B, the width of the white reference sheet 400 in the moving direction of the carrier is indicated by C and the original installation width of the printing part is indicated by D.

This estimate temp. is compared with the normal operation temp. range of the recording apparatus to perform recording control stopping recording operation or lowering operation duty.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent the waste of power in an initialization operation by storing the minimum power information necessary for driving a carrier moving means and the transportation means of a recording medium in the initialization of an apparatus every time of power application and controlling driving power according to the number of initialization times, the minimum power information, etc. CONSTITUTION: At the start of recording, first the initialization operation of actuators (a carrier motor 106, paper feeding motors 107, 520, etc.) is carried out. In other words, current set values of actuators stored in ROM 503 are read out and driven through drivers 510, 511a-511c. Next, when the normal completion of all initialization operations is detected, the current set values of actuators are decreased according to the order of the number of initialization times so that new current set values which are reduced by a prescribed amount are stored in RAM 503. When the new current set values reach the lowest value or less according to the range of the number of initialization times, the current set values are changed to the lowest value according to the value of the range of the number of initialization times.
