The toner is obtained as follows: an emulsified dispersion is obtained by reacting a solution or dispersion formed by dissolving or dispersing, in an organic solvent, a toner composition which contains a toner binder component comprising a modified polyester resin capable of reacting with a compound having an active hydrogen group with a compound having an active hydrogen group in an aqueous medium containing fine resin particles; the resultant emulsified dispersion is mixed with an aqueous solution containing at least a thickener; the organic solvent concentration of the resulting mixed solution is adjusted to 3 to 15 wt.%; the mixed solution is passed through a unit which applies shearing force to the mixed solution to make a prepared toner aspherical; the solvent is removed; and the fine resin particles sticking to the toner surface are washed/released. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing toner with good productivity by which transfer performance is improved and a high-quality full color image having no void is obtained by controlling toner shape, and to provide spherical toner. SOLUTION: This method for producing the toner includes a stage where the master batch of a colorant is previously melted and kneaded together with binder resin being a toner component and a release agent, an electrifying agent controller and other additive as necessary, a stage where substance dissolved in terms of water phase is kneaded in the melted and kneaded substance or kneaded with the master batch, and a stage where mechanical energy is given to the kneaded substance so as to disperse it to toner size and the kneaded substance dissolved in terms of the water phase is dissolved in water so that toner particles deposited under water is obtained. Desirably, the method includes a stage for making the toner shape spherical, where the toner particles obtained under water are heated, stirred and spheroidized. The method for producing the toner, the toner for electrophotography obtained by the method and the electrophotographic developing device using the toner are provided.
