    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having excellent low temperature fixation performance and high-temperature resistant offset property, and forming an image having high quality, and also to provide a developer including this toner, and an image forming process by use of this toner. SOLUTION: This toner has base particles formed by dispersing a liquid prepared by dissolving or dispersing a material including a binder resin, a coloring agent, and a mold releasing agent in at least an organic solvent in an aqueous medium containing resin particles. The volumetric average particle diameter of the base particle measured by a coulter counter method is 3.0 μm or more and 6.0 μm or less. The binder resin includes: a first resin having glass transition temperature of 35°C or more and 55°C or less; and a second resin prepared by applying mechanical shearing force to the resin containing a component insoluble in THF.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical toner excellent in transferability, less liable to cause surface stain and filming, giving high image quality and having a small particle diameter and a narrow particle size distribution, and provide a method for efficiently manufacturing the toner and an image forming method using the toner by which high image quality can be achieved. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the toner includes at least a step of forming oil droplets by emulsifying or dispersing an oil phase in an aqueous phase, and a step of astringing the oil droplets, wherein the oil phase before the emulsification or dispersion in the aqueous phase exhibits non-Newtonian viscosity, and the oil droplets during the astringing exhibit Newtonian viscosity. Alternatively, the method for manufacturing the toner includes at least a step of forming oil droplets by emulsifying or dispersing an organic solvent-containing oil phase in an aqueous phase, and a step of removing the organic solvent from the oil droplets, wherein the oil phase before the emulsification or dispersion in the aqueous phase exhibits non-Newtonian viscosity, and the oil droplets during the removal of the organic solvent exhibit Newtonian viscosity.
