    • PURPOSE:To enable an appropriate control based on an accurately detected value, by providing a hot water supply tank with a sensor for the water level therein and a float switch which produces an output at a predetermined water level, and correcting a value detected by the sensor according to the output from the switch. CONSTITUTION:When the water level in a hot water supply tank 14 is raised to an upper limit level L3 during a control action, an upper limit float switch 14a is turned ON. When the water level is then lowered to turn OFF the float switch 14a, a correcting action for a water level sensor 14b is started. An output voltage V3' from the sensor 14b at this time is read into a controller 60. Based on the difference between a reference voltage V3 preset in the controller 60 correspondingly to the upper limit level L3 and the output voltage V3', set values for each water level are corrected, followed by returning to a control program. A feed water pump 32 for a hot water supply system, switching of hot water supply quantity and a hot water supply pump 43 are controlled according to the value detected by the sensor 14b and corrected in this manner. It is thereby possible to perform an appropriate control without being affected by changes in the water level sensor 14b with time or by ambient temperature.

CONSTITUTION:After having started a hot water supply pump 43 and rotated a control flow rate control valve from full closing up to full opening simultaneously and turned off an upper limit float switch 14a, the hot water level in a hot water supply tank 14 is monitored by a water level sensor 14b. When the detected hot water level falls below a drive level of a water supply pump for hot water supply heater, a water supply pump 32 for hot water supply heater is adapted to drive, thereby starting the storage of hot water in the hot water supply tank 14. Therefore, when danger is produced that the hot water level in the hot water supply tank 14 drops and results in the entrainment of air, the hot water supply pump 43 comes to a halt, which makes it possible to prevent the generation of noise and deterioration in the durability of the pump 43 resultant from idle running.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent assuredly cold water from being fed to a hot water supply tank from a hot water supply machine to keep the temperature of hot water stored in the hot water supply tank at an appropriate temperature by a method wherein when non-ignition of a hot water supply machine is detected, an operation stop signal for a water supply pump for the hot water supply machine is output by a control unit to control the water supply pump to stop the operation. CONSTITUTION:In the operation of a hot water supply system S, when the burner of a hot water supply machine 11 does not ignite for some reason, it is detected by a non-ignition detecting means. Based on the detecting output, an operation stop signal for a water supply pump 32 for the hot water supply machine is output by a control unit 60, the said water supply pump 32 can be controlled to stop its operation. That is, at the same time when the operation of the water supply pump 32 for the hot water supply machine is started, a timer is turned on. Then, after, e.g. 90 seconds later, a temperature sensor 14c starts detection of the hot water temperature in a hot water supply tank 14, and when the detected temperature is lower than 42+ or -2 deg.C, the water supply pump 32 for the hot water supply machine is stopped. Therefore, cold water from the hot water supply machine 11 can be assuredly prevented from being fed to the hot water supply tank 14.
