CONSTITUTION:A speed criteria circuits 41,43 generate the speed criteria for the pre-processing section and the post-processing section respectively. A speed criteria circuit 73 calculates and outputs the speed criteria of the intermediate processing section where two loopers reach the longer end at the same time on the basis of these speed criteria. A speed criteria switching means achieves ON/OFF operation of contacts 44, 46, 48 and adds the speed criteria of the speed criteria circuit 41 to the intermediate processing and the post-processing sections respectively during the normal operation, adds the speed criteria of the speed criteria circuit 41 to the pre-processing section when the post- processing section is operated at a reduced speed or stopped, adds the output of the speed criteria generating means 73 to the intermediate processing section, and adds the speed criteria of the speed criteria circuit 43 to the post-processing section respectively.

    • PURPOSE:To electrically compensate the braking torque, and to prevent generation of breadth shortage in the strip and of the necking, by computing the inertial energy from the rotational speed of the mandrel, and by correcting the previously set pattern. CONSTITUTION:The detected values of the speed detectors 5, 10, are input to the relay amplifier 111, and the line's synchronous speed vF is compared with the mandrel speed vM; then, if the relation vM>betavF (in which, beta is a value patterned according to the rolling schedule, and means the catch-up condition of the speed, and has a value of 1 or larger) is satisfied, the relay 109 is excited. The compensating circuit works from the beginning of winding of the strip 2 around the mandrel, however, the mandrel speed slows down at this stage, the relay 104 is put ON, the relay 107 is put OFF, and the integrator 105 works to produce the time signal. Hereupon, the relay 109 is being put ON according to the satisfaction of the relation vM>betavF, and the compensation at winding the strip is carried out by the output of the multiplier 108.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent scratch from producing on a strip by making shearing blades installed on two knife drums opposed vertically not to contact with the strip. CONSTITUTION:Eccentric gears 13, 14 and 15, 16 are installed in upper and lower knife drums 1 and 2, respectively, the gears are rotated by eccentric gear driving pinions 17, 18 and 19, 20 installed on eccentric gear driving motors M1, M2 and M3, M4, respectively, to revolve the both knife drums 1 and 2 about the eccentric gears 13, 14 and 15, 16, respectively, and to near and depart them to and from a strip 5, respectively. Pinch rolls 25, 26 and 27, 28 are provided at the inlet and outlet of the knife drums 1 and 2, respectively. When the strip is not cut, a shearing blade is not made in contact with the strip nor any scratch is produced since the both knife drums are separated from the strip. Also fluctuation of the strip under cutting is suppressed by the pinch rolls to maintain securer cutting.
