摘要： PURPOSE:To permit the launching operation of a caisson in a short time by a method in which a deck part is raised to the level of a float and floated on the sea surface, the production of a caisson is started, and the caisson is towed to a setting position and settled on the bottom. CONSTITUTION:A deck part 12 is raised to the level of a float 10 and floated on the sea surface, and the production of a caisson C is started. As the production proceeds, the caisson C separated from the float 10 by its bouyancy is launched on the sea surface, and the deck part 12 is separated from legs 11. The caisson C and the float 10 are towed to a setting position and the legs are settled on the bottom. The float 10 is then lifted up above the sea surface and the settling operation of the caisson C is made by using the float 10 as a scaffold. After the completion of the operation, the float 10 is lifted up and removed. The float 10 can be strengthened and can be used as scaffold for operations during the settling period of the caisson C.

Further, the arrangement pitch of the corrugation 31A in the lateral direction of a part of the corrugation 31a arranged in the connection part 11a of the inclined wall part end of the vertical wall part 11 is set to the pitch permitting the connection of the corrugation 31A in the lateral direction of the main corrugation 31b of the vertical wall part 11 and the corrugation in the lateral direction on the inclined wall part side.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enhance efficiency in reconstructing a ship's hull, by a method wherein a ship is discharged from dry dock without completely separating a central part and a bow part of the old ship's hull, a central part of a new ship's hull and a stern part are joined to each other in the dock, thereafter the central part and the bow part of the old hull are separated from each other, and the bow part is joined to the central part of the new hull in the dock. CONSTITUTION:In the dock 1, the stern part 2A of the old ship's hull 2 is separated from the central part 2B of the hull 2, and the boundary line part (a) between the bow part 2C and the central part 2B of the old hull 2 is cut in an incompletely separated condition. Then, the central part 2B and the bow part 2C of the old hull 2 are floated up, and are brought to the exterior of the dock 1, while the stern part 2A of the old hull 2 is jointed to the central part of the new hull in the dock 1. The central part 2B and the bow part 2C of the old hull 2 are separated by a marine crane 4 in the exterior of the dock 1, then the bow part 2C thus separated is introduced into the dock 1 and is jointed to the central part of the new hull.

For example, the ship is supported at the first, the third, the fifth and the seventh ship holds 3A, 3C, 3E, 3G and the middle part 4b of an engine room 4. After that, the bow hold 2, the second, the fourth and the sixth holds 3B, 3D, 3F and the front and rear sections 4a, 4c of the engine room 4 are cut off. New ship bottom members, which are separately manufactured, are supported on the blocks 7 etc. and conjoined to the ship. The blocks 7, which are first used to support the ship, are removed. The four remaining holds 3A, 3C, 3E, 3G and the middle section 4b of the engine room 4 are remodeled in the same way. The entire bottom of the ship is thus simply remodeled without using large-scale equipment.
