摘要： PURPOSE:To prolong the life of the titled apparatus by preventing the seizure between a member to be inspected and a magnetic pole surface, by providing a transmitting- receiving coil to an iron core equipped with the magnetic pole surface and forming a hardened layer to the magnetic pole surface. CONSTITUTION:A piercing hole 12 is formed in an iron core 11 and a DC exciting coil 14, and a transmitting-receiving coil 15 are arranged to the groove part of said iron core 11. Further a magnetic pole is formed corresponding to the transmitting- receiving coil 15 and guides 18B are respectively provided to the feed-in and feed-out ends of the iron core 11. First and second hardened layers 25, 26 are provided to the inner surface of the piercing hole 12 and a descaler 20 is provided to the feed-in end of the iron core 11 and a nozzle 22 is mounted to said descaler 20. A steel pipe 21 being a material to be inspected is passed through the piercing hole 12 from the descaler 20 and the flaw detection thereof is performed by the DC exciting coil 14 and the transmitting-receiving coil 15. Even if the steel pipe 21 has burr at this time, because said burr is contacted with the hardened layers 25, 26, no shaved waste is generated and scale is removed by high pressure water from the nozzle 22. Because the hardened layers 25, 26 are provided, the seizuring between the steel pipe and an electromagnetic ultrasonic measuring apparatus is prevented to make it possible to prolong the life of said apparatus.

摘要： PURPOSE:To measure the wall thickness and thickness of a tubular body whose sectional shape is not round with high precision by arranging a doughnut-shaped good conductor disk rotatably between opposite magnetic poles of an iron core so that a steel pipe is surrounded. CONSTITUTION:Ring-shaped bearings 47 and 48 are fitted to magnetic pole parts of the iron core 13 and gears 45 and 46 made of doughnut-shaped good conductors are fitted thereto rotatably. A transmitting and receiving coil 11 is arranged between the gears 45 and 46 radially to the steel pipe 1 while suspended on the iron core. While coils 14 and 15 are excited to generate magnetic flux, the gears 45 and 46 are rotated at a high speed to flow an eddy current to surfaces of the gears 45 and 46, and the main magnetic flux between main magnetic poles N and S is repelled to nearby the surface of the steel pipe 1 through the operation of the secondary magnetic field established with the eddy current, thereby converging the magnetic flux. Consequently, the wall thickness and thickness of the steel pipe 1 are measured precisely in a high magnetic field even if the sectional shape is not round.

摘要： PURPOSE:To realize an electromagnetic ultrasonic measuring apparatus not impairing an item to be detected, by providing a magnetic fluid layer on pole faces whereon transmission-reception coils provided in an electromagnet and the item to be detected to be detected correspond to each other. CONSTITUTION:An item 1 to be detected pierces through magnetic poles 3a and 3b, and a pole core 3 covers an exciting coil 3 from the outer periphery so that it operates as a DC electromagnet of a shell type. Between the magnetic poles 3a and 3b a plurality of transmission-reception coils 4 are disposed radially and they are connected to a signal processing device not show in the figure. A magnetic fluid layer 30 covers the inner surfaces of the magnetic poles 3a and 3b, and a magnetic fluid 40 is supplied continuously from a pressure pump 10 into a receiver tank 11 through a piping 12 connecting them together. The fluid 40 in the tank 11 flows in through a fluid circuit 13 provided in the magnetic poles 3a and 3b and is jetted from nozzle holes 14 to form a uniform covering. In this way, the fluid 40 improves the lubrication for sliding and the distribution of magnetic flux of the magnetic poles, thus preventing burning and enabling the prolongation of lifetime of an apparatus without impairing the item to be detected.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve detection accuracy by installing an auxiliary exciting coils on DC exciting coil enclosing a steel tube and a clearance between an iron core and the steel tube and acting a flux produced by an electromagnetic coil in the direction reverse to the leakage flux between the magnetic pole of a main electromagnetic coil and the iron core. CONSTITUTION:The iron core 13 and main exciting coils 14 and 15 are installed in the periphery of the steel tube 1. In the clearance between the steel tube 1 and the iron core 13 transmitting and receiving coils 11 are parabolically disposed and the auxiliary exciting coil 40 is wound outside said coils 11. The auxiliary exciting coil 40 excites a current in the same direction as the main exciting coils 14 and 15. When the auxiliary exciting coil 40 is excited while the flux is flowed on the surface of the steel tube 1 between N and S magnetic poles by exciting the main exciting coils 14 and 15, the main flux between the N and S poles of the iron core 13 is sent away in the vicinity of the surface of the steel tube 1 to make it into a high magnetic field. Thus the detection accuracy is improved, and the clearance is made larger to measure the thickness of the steel tube.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prolong the life of a transmitting-receiving coil, by extending a first magnetic pole part and a second magnetic pole part unit lapping both parts to each other and arranging the transmitting-receiving coil between both lapped magnetic pole parts. CONSTITUTION:A member to be inspected, for example, a steel pipe 6 moves through a central hole along an arrow direction X. An N-magnetic pole 8 and an S-magnetic pole 9 are arranged in opposed relationship through a gap 7 having a protruded and recessed shape formed to the intermediate part of the inner surface of the central hole. A plurality of first magnetic pole parts 12 and second magnetic pole parts 13 are mutually lapped and a plurality of gaps are formed in the circumferential direction between the first magnetic pole parts 12 and the second magnetic pole parts 13. The gaps for inhibiting the movement of the steel pipe 6 in the moving direction X of said steel pipe are not formed between both magnetic poles and, because the steel pipe 6 moves between both lapped magnetic poles, said steel pipe 6 is not contacted with a transmitting-receiving coil 17 to prevent the damage thereof and the life of the transmitting-receiving coil 17 can be prolonged.
