    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel wire which can be manufactured without being subjected to patenting treatment in a wire-drawing process, and has superior mechanical properties such as strength and tensile strength; a wire rod to be used for manufacturing the steel wire; and a method for manufacturing them. SOLUTION: The hot-rolled wire rod is made from a steel containing 0.30-0.50% C, 0.1-0.4% Si, 0.2-1.0% Mn, 0.01% or less Al, 0.01% or less Ti, 15-35 ppm N and 15-35 ppm O; includes pro-eutectoid ferrite and bainite of which the area rate FA(%) is in a range satisfying FA≤-70×(%C)+41, and pearlite which occupies 95% or more of the balance; and has a wire diameter of 3.6-7 mm. The steel wire is obtained by wire-drawing the wire rod at a true strain of 4 or more without subjecting the wire rod to the patenting treatment and bluing treatment, has a wire diameter D of 0.2-0.4 mm, has such a TS (MPa) as to satisfy 3,900-D×2,600≤TS, and does not cause the occurrence of delamination in a twist test.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple method of firmly anchoring wire netting to a frame body made of steel or the like without using special skill or a special device in the wire netting formed by longitudinally and laterally combining spiral wires.
      SOLUTION: In this end fixing structure of wire netting 1 formed by longitudinally and laterally combining spiral steel wires, the longitudinal wire 14 and lateral wire 15a at the end of the wire netting 1 are clamped using two clamping hardware members formed of strip-like flat steel 2, L-shaped steel 2a, or the like and fastened by a bolt 3 and a nut 4 passing through the clamping hardware members. At least one lateral wire 15a parallel with the clamping hardware members is arranged on the end side of the longitudinal wire 14 rather than the bolt 3. The bolt 3 is thereby inserted through a mesh 5 formed by the lateral wire 15a and the longitudinal wire 14. Further, the end on the outside of the lateral wire arranged on the outside of the bolt in the longitudinal wire 14 intersecting in a right-angled direction to the lateral wire 15a is bent over a predetermined length to provide a bent part 9, and the bent part 9 is clamped by two clamping hardware members.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of wire rod by providing small diameter roll for light draft rolling just behind the rolling roll on the preceding stage of a block mill for rolling wire rod. CONSTITUTION:The small diameter roll 5 for light draft rolling is provided just behind the rolling roll which is provided on the preceding stage of the finishing block mill 4. The dimensional accuracy of product on the outlet side of block mill is greately affected by the dimension of intermediate rolled steel material on the inlet side of block mill. When the dimension of intermediate rolled steel material on the inlet side of block mill is greately varied, also the dimension of product on the outlet side of block mill is greately varied along it and, when the intermediate rolled stock on the inlet side of block mill is stable, also the product on the outlet side of block mill is stable. The application of light draft rolling to the intermediate rolled steel material on the inlet side of block mill is very effective to the stability of the dimension of the product on the outlet side of block mill. In this way, the dimensional accuracy of wire rod can be improved with a simple equipment.
