    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device by which processing speed is changed over by using one driving source and also an excellent image quality is obtained independently of the processing speed. SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with one motor to generate driving force in common to a photoreceptor 7 to which the driving force is transmitted in accordance with image forming and a fixing roller 14a driven at the speed different from that at the photoreceptor 7 in accordance with the image forming for instance in an image forming part to form an unfixed image on paper P. A driving force transmission system for the fixing roller 14a transmits the driving force to the fixing roller 14a so that the rate of change of the speed occurring at the photoreceptor 7 is different from that of the speed occurring at the fixing roller 14a before and after changing the processing speed are made different. Thus, the speed difference between the photoreceptor 7 and the fixing roller 14a is kept constant independently of the processing speed, so that the excellent image quality is always obtained.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which power consumption can be reduced furthermore at the time of waiting mode by reducing power required for sustaining the waiting mode or the display thereof. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises an electromagnetic switch mechanism 61 consisting of a permanent magnet 62, an electromagnet including a moving yoke 63 and a coil 64, and a leaf spring 65 wherein the electromagnetic switch mechanism 61 moves the electromagnet by reversing the direction of a current being fed to the coil 64 at the time of switching from the operating state to the waiting state and at the time of switching from the waiting state to the operating state. At the time of waiting state, the electromagnet is brought in contact with the permanent magnet 62 and the state is sustained with a magnetic force thus turning off a power save switch 56. At the time of operating state, the electromagnet is detached from the permanent magnet 62 and the state is sustained with the resilient force of the leaf spring 65 thus turning on the power save switch 56.
