摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce exhausting quantity of carbon dioxide gas in iron-making process by substituting sintered ore with cold bonded pellet, which is obtd. by agglomerating iron ore raw material by using system steam, charging it into a blast furnace and blowing oxygen gas and non-oxidizing gas. CONSTITUTION:A part or all of sintered ores charged into the blast furnace are substituted with the cold bonded pellet. This cold bonded pellet is obtd. by heating and drying the iron ore raw material, which is continuously agglomerated with steam or steam-containing exhaust gas, with heating air, exhaust gas, etc., in a heating and drying furnace of shaft type or combining an ore storing vessel and it is desirable to charge this under heating condition. This substituting quantity is desirably as much as possible and desirable to be >=about 50%. Further, the non-oxidizing gas of H2O, CO2, CO, N2, etc., is blown together with oxygen gas from tuyeres to prevent excess rising of temp. in the furnace. Then, the non-oxidized preheating gas is blown from middle step in the blast furnace to restrain high temp. in the race way. Further, it is desirable to charge coke under high temp. condition of taking out from a furnace, and it is effective to blow powdery iron ore from the tuyere.

When the amt. of the pulverized coal blown from the hole 2 decreases to a prescribed value or below, an automatic controlling mechanism is worked to gradually feed C gas from a C gas feeding pipe 8 or heavy oil from a heavy oil feeding pipe 9. Thus, the blast furnace is stably operated without considerably changing the conditions of the furnace.

On the other hand, the oxygen is sent to the preheating gas generator 5 and the tuyeres 9 from an oxygen source 7, but ordinarily, it is blasted into the furnace from tuyeres 9 together with the fine powdered cool from a fine powdered coal vessel 8 as a part of substitute for coke. It is desirable that the temp. adjusting gas in front of tuyere is blown as little as possible and the consumption of fine powdered coal is increased.
