摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the corrosion of an outside surface side, to additionally suppress the occurrence of cracking and to determine the components of a welding material adequate for the suppression thereof. SOLUTION: The coating material is used for forming a coating layer 5 for coating a substrate 2 which is effectively cooled on its inside surface side. The mass% of the material is 0.06 to 0.13 C, 20 to 26 Cr, 0.3 to 1.0 Si, 0.8 to 1.2 Nb, ≤0.5 Ni. The Cr of the known coating layer is hitherto adequately 23 to 30 mass% but a decrease of mass% of the Cr is possible under the positive cooling environment. The range of mass% of the Cr is shifted to a side where the range is smaller than known mass%. The Cr is added in both points of corrosion resistance and the improvement of high-temperature strength. If the amount thereof is too much, toughness is deteriorated and if the amount is too little, the effect of the corrosion prevention is low. 摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of a defective pore in a coating layer and to improve corrosion resistance by applying a mixture of intermetallic compd. forming metal powders in a specified ratio on the surface of a ferrous alloy such as carbon steel and stainless steel, a nickelous alloy, etc., heating the mixed powder to its reaction melting temp. and forming a rust inhibiting layer. SOLUTION: An Ni powder and an Al powder are used to prepare a mixed metal powder forming an intermetallic compd. by reaction and mixed in 3:1 molar ratio of Ni to Al. The mixed metal powder is applied on the surface of a material to be coated and then heated preferably to 600-700 deg.C to cause reaction melting to obtain an intermetallic compd., and a corrosion inhibiting layer is formed. Since the coating layer has been transiently melted, the layer is extremely useful for the corrosion inhibiting purpose. The coating layer need not be a complete intermetallic compd. Besides, a mixture of Ti powder and Al powder approximately in 1:1 molar ratio or a mixture of Fe powder and Al powder can also be used in addition to the Ni and Al powders.

The examples of the joint surfaces to be joined include Fe-base alloys, Ni-base alloys, etc., of carbon steel, low-alloy steel, stainless steel, etc. The temp. at the time of joining the joint surfaces is usually about >=600 deg.C but the excessively high temp. is disadvantageous in terms of the deformation of the materials to be joined and a treatment cost and, therefore, the temp. is preferably so determined as to meet the heat treatment (stress relief annealing, etc.) temp. of the materials to be joined. As a result, the simple joining is executed.
