摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a damage such as lowering of elevating performance, breakage of a passenger conveyor even when bristles of a cleaning brush are caught in a clearance of a footstep. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a cleaning brush 4 furnished with bristles 6 to clean foreign matter stuck on a tread 2 of a passenger conveyor and a holding means of the bristles and a fixing means 5 to support and fix the cleaning brush 4. In this case, the holding means to hold the bristles is constituted of a hole part provided on the cleaning brush 4 and a core wire for bristle holding provided on a hole part bottom part, a plural number of the bristles 6 are folded back by the core wire for bristle holding, and it is constituted to make only one end of a plural number of the bristles 6 drawn out of the hole part which is longer than the other end make contact with the tread 2. When the bristles 6 are caught between footsteps 1, holding force of the holding means becomes smaller than force to pull the bristles 6 by movement of the footsteps 1, only the bristles 6 are removed from the cleaning brush 4 and removal of the cleaning brush 4 itself is prevented.
