摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record and reproduce time compressed and bit compressed digital information by receiving bit compressed digital information which is error corrected on the basis of a first parity signal added to bit compressed digital information and adding a second parity signal. SOLUTION: A transmission signal transmitted from a digital information- transmitting apparatus is received by a receiving circuit 30 and input to a demodulating circuit 31 to be demodulated to an original signal. The demodulated signal is input to an error-correcting circuit 32, and an error generated at a transmission line 27 is detected and corrected on the basis of a parity signal for error correction which is added by a parity-adding circuit at the transmission side. An image signal error corrected and output from the error- correcting circuit 32 is input via a memory circuit 82 to the side of a terminal R of a change-over switch 80 selected at the time of recording. The compressed image signal is turned to an original image signal by an extending circuit 62. A parity signal is added by a parity-adding circuit 33. The signal is modulated to a predetermined code by a modulating circuit 34 and recorded to a magnetic tape 40.

Concerning the input signals divided into (m) systems, a prescribed recording modulation is performed at the n-times speed by a recording modulation circuit 204, and these signals are simultaneously recorded from the (m) sets of recording heads onto a medium.
