      SOLUTION: An air conditioner 1 applies the refrigerating device using the zeotropic refrigerant mixture (R1234+R32), and comprises an outdoor heat exchanger 30 used as the evaporator in a heating operation. The outdoor heat exchanger 30 has a first heat exchanger 31 and a second heat exchanger 32, and the first heat exchanger 31 is positioned at a refrigerant inlet side. Frost formation preventing treatment for forming a water-repellent coating film is performed only on a first fin 111 of the first heat exchanger 31.

      SOLUTION: An outdoor unit 3 includes a body heat exchanger 33, first and second auxiliary heat exchangers 36a, 36b, a three-way valve 37, and a control part 39. The body heat exchanger 33 functions as an evaporator during heating operation. The first and second auxiliary heat exchangers 36a, 36b are connected to the body heat exchanger 33. The three-way valve 37 changes over through which the auxiliary heat exchangers 36a, 36b a refrigerant is made to flow in to the body heat exchanger 33. When frost is formed on the first auxiliary heat exchanger 36a to which the refrigerant is made to flow in, the control part 39 controls the three-way valve 37 so that a first state where the refrigerant is made to flow in to the body heat exchanger 33 via the first auxiliary heat exchanger 36a having frost formation is changed over to a second state where the refrigerant is made to flow in to the body heat exchanger 33 via the second auxiliary heat exchanger 36b without frost formation.
