    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve design-restriction problems in a conventional electronic clock with a solar cell having the solar cell arranged substantially vertically to a dial plate and stored in a supporting ring groove part and requiring a depth for obtaining a necessary power generation amount because a supporting ring connection part is positioned on the wind shield side or an electronic clock having a solar cell arranged in a parting diameter part in a stainless steel thin plate and cannot shield a dark brown color of the exposed solar cell. SOLUTION: A flexible solar cell 1 is optically stuck to the outer circumference of a translucent lining ring 2 arranged in a clearance between wind shield glass 4 and the dial plate 5. Alternatively, the solar cell 1 is arranged to be optically stuck to a supporting ring 22 having a groove part 10a on the wind shield side of the lining ring 2. SOLUTION: This electronic timepiece is constituted so that the light power generation cells are arranged alternately in a comb-shaped state, and thereby a light receiving range in each stage is widened and a stable power can be supplied to a secondary cell.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems on design restrictions that, when a solar cell is arranged at a dial rim part of the outer periphery of a dial plate, a clearance between a wind shield glass and the dial plate becomes widened so that the position of the dial is recessed, and that, when the cell is arranged at a parting diameter part, the cell is exposed so that the dark blown color of the cell becomes revealed. SOLUTION: A light-permeable lining ring is arranged inside a solar cell, and a part of a solar cell power generating area and a part of the lining ring covering the solar cell power generating region are disposed below the level of the upper face of a dial. Further, the thickness of the dial plate on its internal side is made larger than that of the dial at its peripheral part on which the translucent lining ring is disposed while a light guid part for incident light on the lining ring is retained. Or, a flange part for fixing a wind shield glass to a timepiece case is arranged outside the translucent lining ring and the solar cell, the lining ring is disposed immediately beneath the wind shield glass and a blinder part is provided at the upper part of the lining ring or solar cell.     • PURPOSE:To enforcedly rotate a step motor and produce no dislocation of a time even if power is generated by providing a means for measuring a power generation time, a means for stopping said step motor and a means for rotating said step motor faster than a normal operation to compensate the power genera tion. CONSTITUTION:At the time of normal drive a signal from a drive circuit 13 is received to drive a hand indication 5 through reduction wheel trains 4 includ ing a slip mechanism 10 and a reverse rotation prevention mechanism 11 so as to show a normal time. When the timekeeper is charged with a power source an outside operation member 1 is operated, and speed increase wheel trains 2 including an one-directional clutch 8 and a switch 9 are rotated to rotate a step motor 3 at high speed so as to charge it with a power source 6 through a charge circuit 12. At this time, the drive circuit 13 stops the generation of a drive signal by the action of a control circuit 7 and further at the same time a power generation actuation time is measured. Still further, when charge is completed, the rapid traverse of the step motor 3 is performed through the drive circuit 13 by the action of the control circuit 7 so as to allow the hand indication 5 to coincide with a present time.
