    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery device for obtaining a bulky fluorine-containing polymer by performing the operations to achieve a desired amount of a residual volatile component under a thermal stable evaporating condition in batch-wise way or continuously and draining directly or with other methods from a container after evaporating the component to a receiver, and to provide a recovery method.
      SOLUTION: In the method for recovering the polymer from a fluorine- containing polymer solution, the component is heated at a temperature equal to or higher than a lowest temperature which the solution is subjected to a phase separation, equal to or higher than a boiling point and equal to or lower than a decomposition point of the component to remove by evaporating and the resulting bulky polymer is melted and drained to the receiver.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently purify a crude fluorinated ethylenic unsaturated compound containing its hydrogen fluoride adduct by subjecting the crude fluorinated ethylenic unsaturated compound to an extractive distillation in the presence of a specific water-soluble solvent and subsequently washing the distillation product with water. CONSTITUTION:A crude fluorinated ethylenic unsaturated compound containing the hydrogen fluoride adduct of the fluorinated ethylenic unsaturated compound and produced by the gas phase or liquid phase pyrolysis reaction of an acid fluoride is subjected to an extractive distillation in the presence of a solvent selected from alcohols (e.g. methanol, ethanol), ketones (e.g. acetone, methylethylketone) and ethers (e.g. THF, dioxane, ethylene glycol dimethyl ether), and the obtained azeotropic mixture is washed with water for the removal of the solvent to obtain the highly pure fluorinated ethylenic unsaturated compound. The method is especially suitable for the purification of fluorine- containing alpha,omega-dienic compounds giving perfectly amorphous polymers by their ring-closing polymerization.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful a comonomer for synthesis of fluorine-containing polymer and a monomer for homopolymerization. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I (R and R are 1-7C polyfluoroalkyl or coupled 2-5C polyfluoroalkylene), e.g. perfluoro-2-methylene-4,5-dimethyl-1,3- dioxolan. The compound of formula I is obtained by subjecting a compound of formula II (X is F or OM; M is alkali metal) to vapor phase pyrolysis at 250-400 deg.C or subjecting a carboxylic acid alkali salt obtained by reacting the compound of formula II with an alkali hydroxide to pyrolysis at 150-300 deg.C. When the reaction temperature is low, the conversion efficiency becomes low and when the reaction temperature is high, the amounts of decomposition products are increased. An amorphous fluorine-containing polymer soluble in a specific solvent can be obtained by subjecting the compound of formula I to homopolymerization. A low reflective coat or thin film, etc., can be obtained by using the solution.
