The second cam (61) has interconnected tracks (122, 123, 124) such that selection of the correction ribbon is effected only in response to one direction of movement of the control shaft. The second cam (61) also actuates a lever (63) of the typing ribbon-feed mechanism. The cam (81) is three-lobed and rotates 120° for each complete rotation of the control shaft (56) and second cam (61) fixed thereto.

    • Multicolour inked ribbon cartridge for an impact serial printer comprising a ribbon housing body and two arms protruding from such body to allow the interposition of a ribbon portion between printing head and printing support for the whole length of the platen when the cartridge is inserted by means of two lateral cylindrical shaped projections provided on the body into two suitable housings of the serial printer frame, allowing rotation of the body around a common axis of said cylindrical projections, parallel to the platen.
      The cartridge rotation around such axis and therefore the positioning of a suitable multicolour band between printing head and printing support is assured by a cam actuated by a motor and interacting with the body of such cartridge.
      The cartridge is further provided with a string tight between the ends of its arms upon the multicolour ribbon portion interposing between head and printing support.
      Such string is devoted to hitch a ribbon positioning and guiding element, which therefore follows the cartridge rotation, and at the same time, being suitably coupled to the carriage of the serial printer, follows the printing head in its transversal shift in order to assure a correct positioning and tensioning of the subsequent zones of the multicolour ribbon contacted by the printing head.

    • A ribbon cassette for use with a printer or typewriter for housing an inked or carbon ribbon or the like in which a ribbon guide, normally mounted on the typewriter or printer, is formed as an integral but movable part of the cassette with the ribbon permanently threaded therethrough.
      In a preferred embodiment the ribbon guide comprises a loop (30) at the end of the wire arm (36. 32), the remote end of which is embedded at (38) in the cassette. Another aspect of the invention concerns the provision of a daisy wheel petal guide (22) between opposed ends (20 and 18) of two arms (12 and 14) of the cassette which in part define a ribbon path with the ribbon stretched across the gap.
      The invention also includes a typewriter which is adapted to receive a cassette having the above characteristics and which includes an actuator 112 in the typewriter for engaging the arm 36 to move the ribbon guide as required.

Gemäß der Erfindung ist das Hebelsystem (5) am freien Ende eines als einarmigen Hebels ausgebildeten Koppelgliedes (10) angeschlossen, sind in der Schwenkebene des Koppelgliedes (10) parallel nebeneinander zwei Hubmagnete (6, 7) vorgesehen, sind die Hubstößel (8, 9) der Hubmagnete (6, 7) über ein Verbindungsglied (13) gelenkig miteinander verbunden, hat das Verbindungsglied (13) zwischen seinen Anlenkachsen (18, 19) eine gelenkige angeschlossene Verbindung (14) mit dem Mittelteil des Koppelgliedes (10) und liegt die Schwenkachse (11) des Koppelgliedes (10) vom Anschluß des Hebelsystems (5) aus gesehen jenseits des Hubstößels (9) des zweiten Hubmagneten (7). Mit der Erfindung wird damit die Aufgabe gelöst, eine Farbbandumschaltung auf vier verschiedene Farbbahnen eines Farbbandes zu ermöglichen.
