摘要： The present application relates to dual-mode GSM/WLAN terminals and how to establish calls in a convenient and cost-effective manner. In the prior art the user has to manually select between the access technology to use. This problem is solved by the application in that, when a terminal with an active account enters the coverage area of the WLAN, the server registers the terminal to the WLAN. When another terminal sends a call request to it (INVITE sip: 358041111111@server), the [SIP] server will proxy the call request message to it (INVITE sip:userB@10.0.8). If the called terminal is not registered or does not even have an account then the [SIP] server will tell the calling terminal to do a GSM call.

The directory service includes a public switched telephone network (PSTN) directory, a cellular network directory, an Internet directory and a private branch exchange (PBX) directory. The communications protocol includes encapsulation for at least one of directory, mobility and security services and other protocols. 摘要： A method of wireless communication includes establishing a wireless connection with a first access point via a wireless protocol in a first sub-network by a wireless electronic device. A network address is assigned to the wireless electronic device having a telephone address. The wireless electronic device roams from the first sub-network to a second sub-network. The wireless connection is automatically disconnected with the first access point, and the wireless connection is seamlessly established with a second access point in the second sub-network. A new network address is assigned to the wireless electronic device at the second sub-network. Alternatively the network address is still assigned to the wireless electronic device at the second sub-network.
