摘要： A system is disclosed for recording and reproducing a luminance signal (Y) on and from a medium (40). The system includes an adaptive deemphasis circuit (10) for adaptively reducing the level of a high frequency portion of the luminance signal (Y). A record circuit records the reduced level luminance signal on the medium (40). A playback circuit reproduces the reduced level luminance signal from the medium (40). A reemphasis circuit (70) non-adaptively boosts the level of the high frequency portion of the reduced level luminance signal to produce the luminance signal (Y). To this end, a circuit (73) cores a high frequency portion of the reduced level luminance signal, and the level of the cored high frequency portion is then boosted by a predetermined amount to produce the luminance signal (Y).

摘要： It is an object of the present invention to provide a transmission and receiving method for bit streams including picture data generated by carrying out encoding with which cost for bit stream decoding and/or bit stream encoding can be reduced. With the present invention bit streams from recording media on which bit streams are recorded or radio wave are reproduced using reproducing equipment having only a bit stream reproducing function and the reproduced bit stream are transmitted via a high speed digital network (93; 103). 摘要： A picture encoding, recording, and reproducing device which compresses digital video signals, and records and reproduces the compressed codes, wherein the digital video signals are divided into overlapped encoded blocks by sharing boundary picture elements on a screen. The device divides DCT coefficient data in each encoded block into a plurality of groups and records the coefficient data in two overlapping encoded blocks on the screen in separated areas on a recording medium. When an error occurs at the time of reproducing the compressed codes, the device analyzes the state of the error and performs error correction on the coefficient data lost by the error in accordance with the state of the error. Therefore, stable excellent reproduced pictures can be obtained even when an error occurs at the time of recording and reproducing the compressed codes.

摘要： A processing circuit for a video signal wherein an input video signal is fed to an input terminal (10) and then introduced to one of the input terminals of a subtracter (11) and a high-pass filter (12). High frequency components outputted from the high-pass filter (12) are adjusted in level by a first variable gain amplifier (13) whose gain can be adjusted externally, and then inputted to a limiter (15). The limiter (15) outputs components having levels less than the limiting level as noise components too, and the noise components outputted by the limiter (15) are adjusted in level by a variable gain amplifier (16) whose gain can be adjusted externally to be fed to the other input terminal of the subtracter (11). By the gain control of the first variable gain amplifier (13), the limiting level of the limiter is fitted for the levels of the inputted noise components. By the gain control of the second variable gain amplifier (16), the level of the components for noise cancel fed to the latter input terminal of the subtracter (11) is fitted for the noise component to be cancelled.
