摘要： Embodiments of the present invention relate to methods and systems that may detect cadences and duplicate fields in a video sequence, and correct the sequence to retrieve the original progressive content. Methods according to the present invention may compare consecutive fields of the same parity for similarity, and consecutive fields of the opposite parity for field and frame activity. By analyzing patterns in the similarity and activity of the fields, the cadence may be determined. The invention also provides methods that may be used to adjust for changes in the cadence, such as can result from scene changes in the video stream.

摘要： The disclosed system comprises an information carrier (1) on which an information signal is recorded that represents picture information intended for being displayed on a picture screen, which picture information comprises video information of a video program as well as control information for selectively displaying the video programme. The video programme is subdivided into sections (35) and, when the video programme is displayed selectively, sections are shown in a new order (34) and partly omitted or replaced. To this end the control information includes path information (36) which indicates a path of sections to be displayed in linked fashion. 摘要： This invention provides a method of creating caption-based search information for moving picture data of video titles recorded on a disk storage medium and performing search of moving picture data stream by using the caption-based video search information in a video disk reproduction apparatus like DVD player, and a reproduction apparatus using such method. The method according to this invention comprises the steps of creating and storing link information between caption data and moving picture stream which is reproduced concurrently with the caption data; displaying part of the caption data during playback; obtaining the location of moving picture data, which is linked to a particular caption data specified by a viewer, based on the created link information; and resuming reproduction of the video disk at the located moving picture data. Therefore, this invention enables rapid and exact search and reproduction of moving picture data linked to a chosen caption data without repetition of manual search.

摘要： Es ist bekannt, Teletextdaten im Echtzeit bzw. im Nichtechtzeitverfahren einzulesen. Für das Einlesen der Daten im Echtzeitverfahren muß ein großer Hardwareaufwand betrieben werden. Wird ein Speicher eingesetzt, der nicht rollierend ausgebildet ist, so ist ein Speichermanager einzusetzen. Wird hindessen ein rollierender Speicher eingesetzt, ist kein Speichermanager erforderlich. Nachteilig hierbei ist der große Aufwand in Speicherverwaltung und Hardware.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, mit geringem Aufwand ein Verfahren zum Abspeichern von Teletextdaten zu schaffen.
Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren werden die Teletextdaten in einen Speicher eingelesen. Es wird überprüft, ob die eingelesenen Teletextdaten angefordert wurden. Bei Anforderung der Teletextdaten werden die Daten in dem Speicher unverändert beibehalten. Bei Nichtanforderung der Daten werden die Daten durch neu eingelesene Daten überschrieben.

摘要： A data reproducing device and a data recording medium with which synchronous reproduction of multiplexed data of video data, audio data, and screen data compressed at variable rates and other various kinds of functions can be accomplished. Data are reproduced from a data recording medium in units of sector numbers and data of minus sector numbers added to a sector are also reproduced. Multiplexing information indicating whether or not video data, audio data, and screen data are multiplexed or not and the position information of access points used for searching data and making random access to the data are recorded at the locations specified by the negative sector numbers, and the informations are reproduced.
