摘要： A method for controlling prepaid data services of at least two service groups of different charging criteria in a network is described. In the method resources are reserved from the prepayment system. An initial data delivery limit is set in a rating device for each group based on the resources and information about the charging criteria. A message containing information about the initial data delivery limits is sent from the rating device to a measuring device. Proportional data delivery limits are allocated in the measuring device for each service group individually. The remaining resources are reallocated in the measuring device to the service groups based on pricing weights of the service groups to obtain new proportional data delivery limits for each service group individually, the new proportional data delivery limits being for use in delivery of data after a service group has exceeded its proportional data delivery limit. A system for controlling prepaid data services and a communication system configured for provisioning of prepaid data services are also described.

摘要： Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Ermitteln von Kommunikationsgebühren bei einem für eine Gruppe von Kommunikationsendgeräten durchzuführenden Gruppenkommunikationsdienst. Bei diesem Gruppenkommunikationsdienst wird den Kommunikationsendgeräten der Gruppe jeweils ein Server (S1, S2, S3) zugeordnet, und jeweils einem Kommunikationsendgerät der Gruppe wird temporär eine Genehmigung erteilt, eine Sprachnachricht (SN) abzusenden. Eine abgesendete Sprachnachricht wird an die anderen Kommunikationsendgeräte der Gruppe übertragen mittels der den Kommunikationsendgeräten der Gruppe zugeordneten Server (S1, S2, S3). Bei dem Verfahren empfängt einer der Server (S1) von den anderen Servern (S2, S3) Informationen über die empfangsbereiten Kommunikationsendgeräte (KEG4, KEG5, KEG6) der Gruppe. Bei Übertragung einer Sprachnachricht (SN) wird von diesem Server mittels der empfangenen Informationen die Anzahl der zum Übertragungszeitpunkt für diese Sprachnachricht empfangsbereiten Kommunikationsendgeräte (KEG2, KEG4, KEG5, KEG6) bestimmt, und anhand der bestimmten Anzahl der Kommunikationsendgeräte wird die Höhe der für diese Sprachnachricht (SN) anzuwendenden Kommunikationsgebühr ermittelt.

摘要： A "breakout" of telecommunications toll calls on a per-station basis is provided to households or other telecommunications endpoints which have subscribed to only a .us single analog telephone line. Subscribers wishing to avail themselves of such "station set billing" will have purchased and installed telephone stations sets which are adapted to transmit to the telecommunications service provider, during a call, e.g., at the start thereof, a signal carrying a code which identifies that station set. The subscriber, additionally, will have registered the station set's code, which may be marked on the bottom of the instrument, with the telecommunications service provider. Thus the service provider is able to identify which station set within the household a call is being made from or to which a collect call is being made. The telecommunications service provider can thus readily "tag" the toll charge for that call in the subscriber's monthly bill as having been made from, or billed to, a particular station set, hereby effectuating the inventive "station set billing" service. The station set may transmit the code at its own initiative. Alternatively, it may transmit the code in response to a query signal issued by the telecommunications service provider's equipment during call set-up. Preferably, the station set's code signal, as well as the query signal are of a type that cannot be heard by the human auditory system, such as a spread spectrum signal, thereby making the interchange of query and identifying signal imperceptible to the callers.

摘要： A long distance telephone switching system (34) is adapted to provide various enhanced subscriber services, such as an audio news and information service (45), conference calling (51), voice messaging (47), message storage and forwarding, and speed dialing, in addition to conventional long distance calling.
